Thanks! Yep I went to whole nine yards, complete PPF topped with Gtechniq Ceramic coating, then protected with Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax, detailed with Hybrid Ceramic Detailer... the surface is extremely easy to clean now.

As you know ceramic coatings make the surface slick for easy clean up but offer no chip protection, the PPF has the job of stopping impact damage (chips), to me both have value to me.

Got calipers painted Speed Yellow because I'm bored with all the red calipers I've had in recent yrs, not because I want people to think I have PCCB. About $1200 at a very reputable performance shop. They did a perfect job. Love them!

I will be painting mine on my Shark blue Spyder. I wasn’t going to pay $8k for a caliper color. And I’m sure I’ll be perfectly happy with the standard brakes. That speed shop probably contracted the job out? Anyway, they look great and you’re happy and that’s all that counts.

My shop did the work in-house. They do a lot of customizations. They removed, masked off, bead blasted, painted 2 coats of color, applied new stickers, then finally, clear coated.

Thanks for the details. Which shop on the island did you use ? I’m in South Surrey, but my son lives on the island, I can always come over to get it done in Victoria.

Always happy to share my experiences with such things, we all have favorites but I have tried some products that just don't live up to expectations, so I figure why not speak up when asked...

I have been using Chris for my PPF and window tinting needs for a number of years now, always happy with the results, his shop is busy so if you are interested contact him right away about scheduling. Renoson Auto Films | Vehicle Wraps | Paint Protection Films

Thanks Westcoast! That’s exactly why I want a word of mouth referral. When people are happy and used a shop multiple times, you know they are good.

My car stuck on the freeway when engine lost oil pressure. Had it towed to a dealership 4-5 hours later

I won't hear until next week. This was yesterday. And I just had a professional wash before that too...

Wish I took a picture but there was a loss of oil pressure. It just said shut the engine down and try starting it again. Did that; no dice.

Not even driving hard. There was a policeman on the side of the road nearby; he thought I was downshifting.
