I should have taken notes after watching Obsessed Garage. He uses certain tools and things I need for my at home DIY fun.
He mentioned there is someone on Rennlist who makes jack pucks!
Soncoast Porsche is where I can get the oil plug key?
What socket is recommended to protect wheels and get lugs/bolts off.
Wheel guides?
PCCB rotor protectors for wheel swaps?
TPS sensors for 2nd set of rims?
Summer weight / track engine oil?

. I recommend buying two. NOTE: The size needed is M14x1.5. Looks like Amazon removes the sizes when out of stock. Make sure to get M14x1.5.
Suncoast also sells the proper M14x1.5.
Lift pucks.

- Level 1: Low profile jack, wheel guide bolts, deep socket 19mm, torque wrench capable of 120 ft-lbs
- Level 1.5: Torx, universal (or just e-torx), and metric sockets (getting in 3/8in is the most common). Also because it's a Porsche, you'll more than likely need extension sockets (minimum 6in) + u-joint or swivel.
- Level 2:
- Level 3: (saves doing the ratcheting by hand, and has a mid-range amount of torque)
- Level 4: Some place to store it all
- Level 5: QuickJack
Level 1/1.5 will get you basically every tool you'd ever need to do any type of DIY work on your car.
I did 2-4 in the past week because I have a problem....

I've also needed this: regularly for 2 specific bolts on the engine cover that require something extremely low profile / tight fit.

I totally agree with this list. Level 1-4 does make your life easier. I too have a problem and have gone to level 5. Its life changing

You've received good advice and sources for these basic tools. I'll only add that Harbor Freight is another source besides Amazon and eBay, some of their tools are pretty good. I bought a set of 3 lug nut sockets many years ago that I still use, 19mm for Porsche and 17mm for my BMW, only cost about $5 back in the 90 's. Part of the fun of DIY work is getting new tools, and at 73 I still find there are some I didn't have for a valve cover job on my Bimmer. The oil plug tool I found on Amazon for less than $10, always shop around, and quick delivery is often possible.

Which size would be correct? Based on this site (https://www.wheel-size.com/size/porsche/718/2020/), it looks like M14x1.5 is the thread size I need, but I only see M12x1.5 or M14x1.25.

I have a quick jack, but after finding that it makes taking the aero off a pain, and the fact that I’m only doing brakes, oil changes, and sway bay adjustments myself, I’m selling it to a friend and getting Rennstands by SafeJack. The QuickJack is awesome, but it takes up a lot of space when not in use and like I said, it makes getting aero off a pain in the butt.
