What’s the cost of ECS & Harbor Freight jacks? Is ECS made in USA? If not, then probably doesn’t really matter? I’ll support USA products over China.
I have the Pittsburgh low profile Jack. Depending on the height of the Jack pucks/pads, it may be a squeeze to get the Jack in place. I have to use a wooden block and even then it’s a squeeze.

Good to know! I’ll just come to your house since your all set up. 😆
Has anyone used rennstands under a GT4 or Spyder? I am wondering about ground clearance issues. If so what jack did you use? Thanks all for this very informative thread.

Very curious about this too. These seem kinda ideal for what I want / what I do w/ the car.

I use the rennstand with the Pittsburgh low profile Jack. it’s difficult to get the top plates (accompanying the rennstand) into the Jack points with the car on ground. This is true especially for the front. The amount of clearance needed (Jack’s minimum height + horizontal weight bearing rennstand bar + top plate) is a bit too much to accommodate with stock ride height. If I have to use the stands, I put the car up (all 4 wheels) on a 2 inch wooden block I have. With that there is enough clearance. I would also point that in order to enfage the stands, you will need to elevate the car quite a bit higher than what I would normally have to do. This has to do with the minimum height of the rennstand.
I would still strongly recommend it as it takes car of most things I am willing or planning to DIY.
I've found wheel cribs helpful as well for working under the car. If you need to take the wheel off, would need to use it in combo with another method (jack and stands). Also, helpful in storing car off the ground and keeps tires from going flat during storage.
I did a full brake fluid flush yesterday and I am in love with this impact wrench:
Milwaukee M12 3/8in Impact Wrench - paired with the 4.0 Ah battery, it didn't even break a sweat taking off all 20 lug bolts (each one only took like 2 seconds). Still had nearly full battery after I was done.
Paired with these 3/8in deep impact sockets (
I have a pair of race ramps 10” cribs do you or anyone knows would the quickjack raise high enough to insert the cribs under the wheels?
Just curious for now as I will find out this weekend anyway once I have it all setup.
I have the 2 piece 14 inch crib (2x7 inch). I can get the car up but I have to do it in steps. First lift with small quickjack rubber block, then lower on first 7 inch block, then relift car using both small and large rubber blocks, then putting both 7 inch cribs. I then relower and am able to use the SUV adapters to gain another 6 inches of lift.
I doubt that you will be able to go directly on the 10 inch crib with the small rubber block, you might have to lower on wood blocks, then relift with both rubber blocks.

I finally tried my first lift using the quickjack and I can confirm that the 10” Raceramps crib clears on the highest lift. Now I am thinking about buying another pair for my collection.
