Light weight battery options

The 40 Ah weight is wrong. Straight from their web site. OEM battery is 45-46. The 60 Ah battery gives 50% more power for only $100 more and only weighs 2.7 pounds more. Still saves 27-28 pounds. Kind of a no brainer to get the larger battery IMHO. Been using the 60 Ah for three years without issue. Highly recommended.
At 27 lbs, not sure it is worth the cost. I was thinking about 40lbs,
You are not going to feel 27lbs difference. That is like 4 gallons of gas.

Incremental, yes, but when 27 Lbs is added to the weight savings of 4 forged wheels and an Inconel exhaust, now you're starting to see some worthwhile weight savings. Porsche charges a hell of a lot more for their attempt at "light-weighting."

Yeah, I suppose.
I am looking forward to losing the unsprung weight from the APEX wheels. They are going on Wednesday.

Yes, definitely agree. If it was a solid 40 lbs, I might go for it, but at 27 lbs, I will wait until I need to replace.
It's definitely a no brainer when one needs to replace for sure.

I used the 30Ah AG battery without issue on my 981 GT4 and 718 GT4. It was maybe 12lbs, a lot less than stock battery, totally worth it for the weight reduction since I was competing in TT.
Zero issues in the 981 but that had radio delete, minimal electronics.
When I first put it in the 718 there was a random check engine light but after driving for a while went away. Even after storage for 5 months, no issues.
But I seem to do weird non-standard things with cars, like 275 width fronts and 315 rear.
My car is gone now, but still have the battery if anyone is looking for one. Seems like they don't sell the 30Ah one anymore.

Are these batteries fine with track use? Or are there issues with the alternator and excessive charge or something weird.
Also, I'm guessing you can put them on a battery tender like usual as long as it's a lithium one?

I've been running Antigravity 40-amp in GT3s, GT3RS and GT4RS. No issues for me during track days or long weekend mountain blasts.
Specific battery tender, yes.

It all adds up when you are on a comprehensive lightening program. The battery is significant to me when added to taking frunk stuff out for free. (27+8+6 = 41lbs) There is your forty pounds.
27 lbs for AG Battery
8 lbs for (carpet matts, left and right frunk pods, and air pump)
6 lbs for unnecessary wiper fluid (I have never hit that button)
32 lbs for Kline Inconel exhaust (in the plan)
47 lbs for ST carbon brake rotors (in the plan)
6 lbs for Apex 20 inch rims (in the plan)
5 lbs fire extinguisher
131 lbs total
So my 3156 lbs car would weigh 3,025 lbs after all of the above modifications are done. If I were going to COTA for the weekend or another special event, I could take the passenger seat out and lose another 38 lbs temporarily and the car would drop below the magic 3k at 2987 lbs. Finally, you could do Magnesium wheels and lose another 15 pounds, but that is not worth $12K for me personally.
