I just picked up my Chalk GTS 4.0 on Friday. Went with premium package, 18 way SS, alcantara delete, heated and cooled seats (I live in Texas), black wheels. As much as I wanted a MT, I went with the PDK due to the traffic in the DFW area. I have tried MT before and while it is a blast about 10% of the time, the other 90% is just a beating. The only thing I splurged on was the Burmester stereo. I too love the sound of the car but I do drive to Austin/Houston/San Antonio a bit and the drone on the freeway can be covered up with the Burmester stereo. Just personal preference. The Bose was probably fine but I had the Burmester in my AMG C63S previously and it was pretty amazing. Also agreed with no NAV, PDLS+ and SPASM as well as leather steering wheel and shifter. Had the alcantara in my AMG and I had to clean the steering wheel about every 4 months or so.
Congrats on the order. You will certainly enjoy the car!
Don't take this the wrong way but other than the net in the passenger wheel well and smoker's kit I would never recommend anything, nor would I ask...it will be YOUR car!
This resonates - similar route as myself.
Ticked the 6mt and welcomed the smiles. What a platform.
Has anyone ordered door handles in black on a white or chalk car?
I have seen the black handles on both white and chalk but I don't love the way it looks. But that is my personal preference. That is the great thing about these cars. You can customize them to YOUR heart's content.
Several folks on the forum have white/chalk cars with black handles, I would just go scan through the photos in those color specific threads to see. For me, I decided that the handle wasn't something I wanted to highlight so I left that option off.

Initially I wasn't a fan but now I think they look great with a build featuring a lot of black contrast accents. They look especially good on a Boxster with black accents and black rool hoops as the hoops complete an arc (bow) with the black side intakes and the black handle marks the middle of that arc forming a black arrow + bow.
i ordered black handles with my chalk GTS as well as a black rear wing. I thought the contrast looked amazing.
So did I as well. I also ordered the rear wiper (black) and window trim and window triangle in high gloss black and black brake calipers (standard brakes) and deletion of 4.0 decals and model designation on the rear. Can't wait to meet her and post some pics.

Nice. Can't wait to see pics! I love the Chalk and have had tons of positive comments on it.
Your car looks great and I ordered Burmester as well. Been a longtime Porsche fan and finally able to join the club as a first time owner I spec'd it like I was going to keep it forever, which is the plan.

Very cool. Same here. Always love Porsche and this was my first one as well. And is the first car I have bought as opposed to leased in the last 20 years. So I too plan on keeping this one for a while. Let me know what you think of the Burmester when you get it. I think it sounds great!

Yes will do, not that I have much to baseline it against but I do love my music/home theater as well so it will be great to see what the Burmester can do. Mine is tied up with the engine replacement so it will be a few more months before I see it. Enjoy your slick new ride!

Oh man. That's a bummer. I lucked out and mine was built just after they found out about the bad rods. Hope they get that done quickly for you and everyone else affected.
