Track Day
Hello All. Excuse me if this might have already been discussed. When i log in to Porsche.com, it still says my car (GT4RS) is in the manufacturing phase yet i've been able to see two photos (body/chassis from paint booth and also the completed photo on the elevator). Only can see two photos but what's weirder is those photos have been there since 3/17 and the process timeline says the car will be completed on 5/16. Seems weird!

I have officially joined the club again (haha):
Tracking has gotten so much better than when I ordered my 2020 Spyder.
More details to come...

For all those getting obsessed with the TYD updates (as I have been for months)...
The system is better than it was several months ago - but it still lags quite a lot. It doesn't seem to update over the weekend and often is several days behind.
I know my car has arrived at the Jacksonville port and has been unloaded - I know this because the ship it was on docked there on the 21st for a day and has already departed heading to it's next destination...
However today - 3 days later - TYD still shows the car at sea and not arrived (even through TYD states it should have arrived today).
All to say - it's not a precise tracking tool... so if things are not progressing it's often just the system lagging.

Well considering when I ordered my 2020 Spyder TYD didn't even exist yet, I will live with the delays once deployed for transport. I can track via AIS for more precision anyway. More in the dark from arrival port to dealer... but that is typically only days.
Plus factory photos are a huge new thing for me!!! Haha

TDY is showing mine will take 3 weeks to process through port before transport date.
Dealership is telling me they expect it to be more like 4 weeks.
So now it's back into the black hole while I wait to see movement on TYD.
The only time there's any precise tracking during this process is when the car is actually on a ship and you can track the ship via 3rd party app...
All first world problems...

TYD now shows the car as having arrived at port - but it's showing it arrived today 24th... though I know it arrived on the 21st and was unloaded on the 21st. So TYD isn't even updating retroactively to correct days after the fact.
