Sadly like you, my car will arrive in winter and go straight into storage. This will be my 3rd time around with a Porsche arriving in winter. I can say, it does get easier.. haha.
Wondering if you had Bose specced, that might be part of the delay. Heard somewhere that there were shortages of a Bose component, an amplifier or something of the sort, that they can't ship the car without because some safety items are affected by its absence. Just guessing really, hope it gets sorted soon. It was fun to watch mine go from "start production" to "arrival Emden" in 9 days, Hard to believe the paint can even harden that quickly!

My 2022 Spyder arrived at the port on 10/17 and was estimated to be ready for purchase on 10/28. Now was pushed back till 11/18, is this what other have experienced recently?
2023 model year cars were delivered and still waiting for a 2022, doesn't feel right. The car has Bose optioned if that matters.

What does your dealer say? They generally know why there is a delay.

My dealer has some cars sitting in port because of Bose amplifiers. They can’t be delivered as certain mandated warning tones are through the PCM/sound system…

Haulage from port to dealer is contracted carrier…most at my dealer is Reliable. Possible it’s that simple, though that does seem to be awhile.

I spoke with the dealer a few times and they never had anything extra to say other than what I see on the Porsche app.
so the dealer is who arranges shipping from the port to the dealer?
I guess the car will be ready when it’s ready, nothing I can do. Just that I am so close, very inpatient now.
Never drove one and hope it is much better than my 997 Carrera S convertible.

I would imagine PCNA would arrange shipping, perhaps at the port facility once PDI is cleared. My dealer said they only have movement visibility day of or prior, but we are just a couple hours from the port.

Suspect if your car needed something they’d know and communicate that to you. My dealer knows every car of theirs at port awaiting Bose amps.

Any good luck, hope it’s sooner rather than later.

Car arrived at Port of Houston 10/18/22.

Picked it up at Porsche South Austin 10/22/22.

Dealer thoughtfully covered the usual areas in Track Wrap so I could get it home to my guy to do the clear bra.

FYI, Violet Ace (Baltimore) passengers: Violet Ace left Halifax, NS about an hour ago, ETA Baltimore, 1am Tuesday 10/25. Or 5am depending on which tracking site you believe. Or I misinterpreted UTC-4.

Maybe Springfield, IL by the end of the week?! And maybe there is some hope we can drive our new GB CGTS 4.0 before the snow flies. But first PPF/Ceramic coating first....

Default Help us decide between Bi-Xenon and LEDs

Hi Everyone, been lurking here for awhile now. Very excited to be joining this waiting room soon with a 23MY GT4 scheduled for production on Nov 18. Our Freeze point date is Nov 3rd. We just looked on the configurator and noticed that a new lighting option has been added: "LED Headlights incl. Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS)" versus what we could only select at the time about 3 weeks ago: "Bi-Xenon™ Headlights in Black with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS)"

It was a big blow losing the PDLS+ LEDs with the 23MY but what are ya gonna do. Which is the best option? The PDLS LEDs or the PDLS Bi-Xenons.

great news! I'm wondering how long it will take from port to dealer. Seems like it could be anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. I have a GT4 and did not spec Bose, so hopefully that saves me a possible delay. Reaaaaaaaaaalllly hoping I get to the dealer quick, as I am in the Midwest and would love a couple of drives before winter is upon us!

check with your SA. You may not be able to get the LEDs for your build even though it’s in configurator. There is a cut off date. I lock on Nov 11 and added it. Some with earlier builds could not.

Looks like we have a hand full of cars coming in and people getting allocations.
