Congrats, I am TYD limbo right now. Scheduled for Production shows an actual date of 6/24, and Start Production still shows an estimated date of 7/1, and CP8.0 estimated at 7/22, which could still be met!

Or, I could sit at Emden for weeks like other folks have …

My Porsche account overview screen has updated with the actual car picture vs. the generic one. This somehow tells me the car is produced based on the disclosure in the picture saying "Note: The vehicle shown here may differ from your order. Finishing with the selected options takes place only after finalization of the production process in the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur."

Now the question is, when does shipment happen from here on?

Your thoughts welcome

It's home. Finally. That means it's time for me to give up my seat in the waiting room.

It was March 2021 when my son was visiting and said, "Dad, you've never owned a Porsche". True. What went unsaid, but understood was, "...and you're running out of time". Agreeing that he had a point, in April 2021 I put down a deposit on a CGTS. It felt like forever to wait for an allocation, but I was kept company by others in this thread who were in the same boat. Finally, the day after Christmas, my SA emailed to say that I had an allocation, with a May 15, 2022 delivery. WooHoo!
Not so fast... Dates on TYD kept moving all over the place. My lock date came and went several times, my build dates kept moving, and never in the right direction. Finally after being "in production" for over a month, things began to move faster. The car spent three days in Emden before it caught a ride to the West Coast. Now it's here, and I'm delighted with it. Well worth the wait.

So tomorrow it's off for PPF, then the endless break-in period, and then, not long after that, Track Your Dream will take on a new meaning.

Were you on the Glovis Summit ship?

Mine was on that ship but it's still in port processing :/ It got pushed back to 7/22 on TYD and my dealer said it seems delayed too.

Yes, Glovis Summit. It only spent a few days at Benicia, and arrived at the dealership on the 1st.

That’s nice to know. My CGTS is on the Glovis Summit too and had a 7/1 arrival to dealership on TYD but unfortunately it is not at the dealership yet.

Finally got my production photos. The one below shows up in my My Porsche account. There is also a pic of the shell that I had to find by going into the HTML. Car got to Emden on 7/6. TYD says it will ship on 7/8, seems like a quick turnaround.

Sorry to jump in, but are there any realistic odds still remaining for a GT4 allocation when putting in a deposit now?

I had been following this thread for months and decided earlier this year that it was worth it to pay the premium to just buy a used GT4. I have found out that finding an agreeable spec is exceptionally difficult and I would be paying a premium to be missing out on some of my preferred options (while shipping the car potentially from the other side of the country). Are there any expectations for new deposits turning into deliveries in 12 or so months? Thanks in advance.

There are still allocations dropping and if you are willing to jump in front of long lines with a healthy ADM…then yes.

After 11months wait, mine finally landed at my OPC last week. I pick it up on the 16th, so I'll be checking out of this thread. As a Brit I don't get to post much on here, but I have read every post which has helped me along my waiting journey, so thanks

Pics taken by my SA...

Siem Aristotle looks to be finally closing in on Emden. Now just hope my car actually gets on it.

Those of us waiting for a ship bound for Benicia seem to be in for a long wait.

My Cp8 has been pushed another two weeks to 7/29. And it’s still a 2022 MY

Mine slipped by about a week today too. SOP 8/26, CP8 on 9/2.
