Break looks like it starts 7/30 and fires back up 8/26. If you still have your 2022 Commission Number yours will be 2022. 2023 switches were created as entirely new orders with comm numbers beginning with G and the original 2022 orders were canceled.
Yup, still a 2022....for now. If it slips much more it might get held up during the break.
Did any of you opt for the extended warranty? My car should be here some time in mid/late July, and a six year warranty with a few of the the wearables included like brake/rotors/timing belts were tempting. However, things like including one 4 wheel alignment (dealer estimate was $1000+) silly. Why would it cost that much for an alignment when an independent can do that for a fraction of the costs using the same machine?

I did buy the platinum vehicle extended warranty. I bought the 120 months/75k miles because this is our first Porsche and it's really for peace of mind. I was offered their maintenance plan and turned it down but thinking back, maybe I should have bought it to lock in the maintenance prices because they sure have jumped up a lot. With the new maintenance plans including consumables, I would definitely say it's worth looking into because the services at the dealers have gotten really expensive with labor rates increasing big time. For me, I also request a gold technician so the cost is higher too for labor rates.
Vehicle warranty is for peace of mind so you have to determine if whatever they're now charging for it is worth your money and peace of mind.
Extended maintenance package would really be to lock in current labor rates. Maybe ask your dealer to break down the next couple of years worth of services and compare to what the package offers and the cost and you should be able to calculate if it's worth it or not.
First post for many years…. My new GT4 has arrived and collect on Sunday. Very excited as there hasn’t been a Porsche in my life since 2005 in a 996 GT3, then an X50 996 Turbo
Pics will follow, but is black (as most of my previous) UK clubsport spec and with luckily for me no main dealer mark up over list
Of course I have been reading this forum for most of the last 5 months waiting for delivery and for hints and tips…most of which said ‘avoid black’ 👍😀
So I just got a email from PCNA that due to the chip shortage Porsche is permanently halting the installation of electrically adjustable steering columns on GTS 4.0s. It stated my car would be built with a manually adjustable steering column. They also provided a $500 voucher towards the purchase of my car or service. Anyone else gotten this email?
i fully understand the state of supply chains and this is totally a 1st world problem..but it still is annoying. Especially getting the email the same day my car completed production, lol.

I got the same email today for my Spyder. So annoyed that they tell us after the fact.

I also received the PCNA email today along with the $500 voucher for my ‘22 Spyder build. See other threads. But AFAIK, Spyders don’t include electrically adjustable steering columns, so kinda perplexed with the situation. I’m more happy that I now have my VIN so there’s that.

You are right, I rechecked the standard equipment list. Sure enough…. Guess, Porsche just did a blanket compensation for the 2022 718s rather than spending time to figure out who has what. I am happy to take the $500 credit.
If it’s lighter and I can put $500 towards a Kline… BONUS!!!
The steering column is a set-it-and-forget-it for me. Electronics are not a value-add and I think it’s hilarious that the Spyder might not have had it in the first place.
My Taycan Cross Turismo 4S was put on delivery hold AFTER I paid for it, so I’m making payments on a car I can’t have. Still a 1st world problem, but THAT is annoying.

Yeah, looks like they did it across the board, even though the emails and vouchers were custom to say what model it is, GT4, Spyder, etc.!

Now that the letter has my VIN, I secured financing as it seems to go up a couple fraction of a point ever couple of weeks (was 2.4 a month ago now 2.9). I hope I'm not making payments on a car I don't possess yet but I can probably push out the close date if necessary. I also got my insurance quote ready to go, just missing the car.

Can attest to the G numbers; my car's production is scheduled for 7/29 (also scheduled to complete 7/29) and it's a 2023. Arrival date still scheduled for 8/26. All according to TYD.
Also, electric steering column has been removed as a feature for 2023, so I didn't get a voucher.
Other changes I extracted from my SA for 2023:
- wired CarPlay included for GT4/Spyder as standard
- My Porsche app replaces Porsche Connect, all models equipped with Car Connect standard
- addition of Ice Grey and Arctic Grey
- Frozen Berry discontinued after October 2022 allocations
- Lava Orange discontinued
- Ruby Star Neo planned tentatively for early 2023 production as a special color
- Dolomite Silver disoctninued
- Black/Luxor Beige leather will be discontinued after October 22
- Entry and Drive will have frunk/trunk releases without key fob, apparently this was skipped for 22 but 21 had it. Price goes up from 22 as a result
- Prep for Porsche Dashcam option added
- Locking lug nuts option added
- Adaptive Cruise control temporarily unavailable on base/T/S models
- aforementioned electric steering column goes away
