According to TYD, my Spyder made it to Emden yesterday - hoping it's a short stay.

Yeah, when it is a real car, especially when it reaches cp8.0, all the pressure seems to drop away. The chance it may never happen due to the million barriers these days goes away. Whew! The rest of the waiting has been much less stressful, for me.
The Gral San Martin is currently moored in Rhode Island, and even more exciting...is expected to proceed to Houston so quickly, she will arrive yesterday! Huzzah!

I can’t imagine what the first look in person or the first drive home from the dealership will be like.

I still remember the exact moment / feeling when I saw the pictures in TYD for the first time. Countless hours over the years creating different specs on the configurator, and finally there was a real photo showing a real car that actually existed in the world.

I'm one - been that way for nearly a month; I also got the email about my freeze date still being 4/29 and will assume that is still valid in case I do actually want to change anything. But the salesman says he expects everything to get pushed back including the lock date. Neither TYD nor PVMS are showing any dates for me right now.

I have been fortunate to have a number of "dream" cars (to me, at least). Remember the song "Oh yeah" by Yello from "Ferris Beuller's Day Off" they played when they showed the Ferrari? That was the song I put on as I drove off in my first "dream" car. lol
Maybe I'll do that again this time.

Sorry to hear. At least you're in good company with a bunch of us in V170 status with 4/29 lock dates. I guess we'll find out next week what our fates are.

My lock date is supposed to be 4/29, I consider myself "locked" now! But I went into this expecting some delays, my ideal time for delivery would have been late summer/early fall.

This morning my TYD is showing for the first time since February the (original) freezing date of 4.29. All the other dates remain TBD… 🤷.

More “waiting room” type stuff… since the potential delivery day is getting closer, I started looking around at insurance. GEICO is quoting around $1,600 a year to add the Spyder to our policy, while Haggarty is quoting $3,300. I guess I keep it easy and stick with one bill. If we ever wind up in some parallel universe where the Spyder is commanding ridiculous used prices I guess I’ll revisit it. Overall, not bad considering the Spyder is roughly three times more expensive than anything else I’ve owned… I was bracing for a bigger shock.

Recently did the same. USAA Auto app priced a little over $100 a month in additional premium for the GT4 driven 4000 miles a year. Now that is at MSRP. I might ask to see what a stated value policy would be if they do them.
In terms of added insurance for those who don't know about them and have ordered the LWBS. I suggest researching EdGuard bolster protectors. Just received mine today and the quality is fantastic. They will be put on right after delivery and before it goes in for PPF.
