I got my "scheduled for production" e-mail about 4 weeks before my freeze date. My SA said this is not unusual. I don't have TYD either in Canada, but my SA has been great about providing updates.

Same for me in Canada, about 4 weeks before Fixed Date I received Stage 2 email from Porsche re: scheduled for production. I made a few major changes about 7 weeks before my Fixed Date, so hoping that doesn't come back to haunt me.
Guys, I’m off topic here but I didn’t want to create a thread for this. Is there an app for Rennlist on the iPhone? I don’t think there is an official app, but I suspect there is an app that can run RL.
I have a VIN# now on my crappy Porsche Canada TYD. When is that assigned in the build process? Is this a good sign?
Me too!!! This is awesome news and confirms what my SA told me last week. I was also told that the car would be "complete" by Feb 11.
Please note: the following info is posted here to hopefully help others, but also as an outlet for my recent obsession with shipping schedules :-)
This shipping schedule is from another post here on Rennlist:
Based on my completion date and the fact that I need a ship to stop in Halifax, it initially appears that the Siem Confucius might be a very lucky connection for my car as it loads on the 12th of Feb. according to the above.
However, I've been tracking Siem C and it's currently on its way to Jacksonville - due to arrive on Feb 3. According to the Jacksonville port information website, the transit time to get from there to Emden is about 15 days assuming 15 knots of average ship speed. I guessed at the speed based on previous tracking info. This means that it will arrive in Emden sometime after Feb 18th assuming it has a very brief stop in Jacksonville, and doesn't go anywhere else before Emden! In other words, the table above needs to be updated (in my opinion).
I know there are a bunch of folks on here that don't want ANY delays, but in my case this means that I have a stronger chance of getting my car sooner, rather than later. Hopefully someone else on here feels the same way. There are still a million things that could change all of this, but as of Tuesday, Feb 1, this is what I've "figured out".
And I’m out. Ceramic coat and PPF are complete. It’s even on snows for cold dry days. Deposit March 21, allocation granted in Sept, build in November. Let the fun begin!
do you have standard brushed aluminum or anthracite aluminum?

Thanks for this info! Yes it seems a lot of us waiting on GT4s got bumped from January completion to 3/18/2022. Hopefully it gets bumped up in our favour.
I know you can appreciate some gallows humor -- so I stopped by the dealership to get my TYD app updated to match my 'My Porsche' profile with respect to primary email. While there I updated my spec ever so slightly, as my "vehicle fix date" was in little over a week. I changed the seat belt color --- and nothing else. My "vehicle fix date" therafter changed to a month later. Doh! Was Feb 9, now Mar 11.

Beware the ides....
Ouch! That stinks. It looks like any change event (to include initial order creation), it puts you in a "fair game to be rescheduled" bucket for some period of time. Who knows.
Funny conversation with my boss yesterday (at a job where I'm 100% remote and he has no idea what I drive or how I live): "Yeah, so the bonus is pretty good this year. Not, like, go out and buy a Porsche good, but pretty good". Joke's on him. I bought two.
LOL, same here. I bought one, and ordered two more..
The irritating bit is that my wife's Macan (which originally was supposed to get here a week after my GT4) is now scheduled to arrive two months BEFORE my car...

My boss wanted me to take a look at his GT4 configuration. I told him that I have a Spyder on order and now that seems to be all we ever talk about.
