Here it is! Picked it up this evening. I've been saving up for a Porsche for 5 years and my dreams became reality. Little back story, when I first bought my 2016 Jeep Rubicon Hard Rock that I added tons of mods to I would do a lot of car shows. One day my wife and I went to a local car show, when we were walking around and came back to my Jeep there was a Lava Orange convertible parked next to me, it was then I realized that would be my next vehicle. I was planning on a Boxster at first but once I saw the revamped 718 Spyder I knew that was the 1 I needed. Today I only did 35 miles for its first run with a huge grin on my face the whole time and loved every second of it. I will admit it is a little tricky getting into and out of a Spyder with the CF bucket seats but well worth bumping your head when the top is up, lol. It was exactly 3 months from the time the order was put in and delivery to my dealership. It was well worth the wait and the best buying experience I've had with a dealership. Few pics before I'm out, might drop by now and again to see all the happy guys and gals getting their dream cars.
I noticed the race ramps. The jeep, well, it doesn't care if it's has to "move" some of your stuff out of the way! lol I raised the garage door on my last house so I could get my lifted Rubicon in with a Thule box on top. That was cool.
Three months is incredibly fast, in today’s market. Did you “buy” an existing allocation that had a near immediate lock / build date?
Yes, The dealer had an allocation that could be changed for 10 more days when I took it over. Perfect timing, I felt like it was now or never. Glad I did when I had the chance, my dealer said they only have 1 allocation for next year so far and plus with the new GT4RS taking up all the work load for the factory we might not see to many more Spyders next year.

Yeah, the Jeep has rubbed its tires a few times on the kayak and a few other things before, lol. WHat part of LI are you in? I grew up in Northport, may family still lives there and we go a few times a year for vacation.

I used to live in Huntington, so right near by Northport. I'm in Nassau county now.
I guess I'm coming to join the wait. My first P-Car, pretty excited.
2022 GB GT4 Manual Box, Deposit put down May 2021, V200 received November 25th 2021, V250 expected April 15th 2022, Build May 2022, Delivery if all goes well July 2022.
Ordered through Porsche Centre North Toronto. it appears TYD is not available in Canada at the moment which is a bummer.
Sigh. Had a call on Friday; apparently PEC Atlanta is overbooked for March so they want to cancel PEC delivery. Boo. I imagine is due to trying to maintain covid spacing or something. Anyone else heard details or similar?

I took delivery at PEC in late October. At that time they said they were booked through the end of 2021. Fun experience. Getting the wife to do some driving stuff was well worth the effort.
