Which wheels to order for best resale?
I am thinking I may want different wheels on my Spyder after I take delivery and if so, which color do people think would be the best for resale?: Silver, Black, Satin Platinum, or Satin Aurum.

Yellow, but it does not matter since I am asking what people think will be the easiest to sell. I guess there may be no correct answer since no one knows what someone may be looking for! With that said, if someone is interested in buying mine for sure let me know what color you want and I may consider ordering them if the price works for both of us. And I am ordering it without the Cup tires.

You could do a count on Half Monkey’s spreadsheet, that’ll give you an idea what’s most popular around here. I suspect black.

Silver. In US anyway:
1. They are less expensive to specify on your new vehicle. ($0)
2. The are more expensive to purchase later. For some unfathomable reason, Porsche charges much less for platinum, black, or aurum wheel sets ($4650 at that internet Porsche parts site) than for silver (closer to $7000).
(I have low mileage black 718 Spyder/GT4 wheels I'd be pleased to swap for similar perfect silver ones. If you're in the PNW, please DM me if interested).

Although its a valid question, resale is gonna mostly depend on your listing price. If you price pink ones low enough to cover shipping and recoating they will fly off the shelf in one day. If they are curbed or you are nickle and diming for everything close to the suncoast price youre gonna have an extra set of the most desirable wheels in your garage, or as nice coffee tables.
.... and silver is free on the spyder if you are factoring in cost

I am thinking platinum or aurum?
Silver is the free wheel.
You can easily turn any existing wheel black by spraying it.
OE platinum or aurum will be hard to match.

I would say Silver or Platinum is your best bet for the widest resale appeal. Aurum is a love/hate type of color, and some people don't like black because you can't see the wheel design as well.

Get the free silver wheels; unless you think one of the satin finishes will net you at least $1290 more in resale...doubtful.

I think the yellow color of the car will hurt resale more than the wheel color. I am not criticizing the color and you should buy the color you like but I do not see very many car in this color when visiting the dealership.

It's interesting seeing what options cost money in certain markets. In Australia Satin Platinum is the default wheel colour, and Silver is a no cost option. Black and Arum cost extra.
Nav/apple car play and Dual zone climate control are included in the base car (not optional), yet the smoking package costs us $130. The various markets differ in some very odd ways.
As for what wheel colour is best? I think it depends on the colour of the car. If it's a dark colour then Silver wheels, if it's a light colour then Satin Platinum. I personally don't like Black wheels and Arum is not for everyone. Your car being Yellow would work with Silver or Satin Platinum, but if you have to pay for Satin Platinum then I would just go for Silver as it won't pay back the full cost to have them painted.

Unless I’m tumbleweed here, he asking about only WHEEL resale...not car. He’s potentially selling the wheels on delivery and going aftermarket.
