Well with these skinny Bridgestones was able to put down a 2:01.97 (AIM) at ECR.
May try the new Nankang CR-S next, as I think these are finally done.
Any ideas if 275/35r19 and 305/30r19 will be fine? I've used Pirelli DH 275/675 without issue, which is same diameter, but the rears may be too similar.

That was an awesome lap. Some nice wheel action. That is what it takes to be fast on street tires when they start to go away. My GTSC 3Rs were on session 20 so they have lost some of there grip. I had a 2:02.45 on my AIM on second session today. I got to ride with one of the SAGA guys in his 992 GT3 with giant Hoosiers in the first session and he pulled a 1:57.8. Unreal ride with one of the best drivers around. He has 295/30-19 and 345/30-19 that just stick like gumboils. His 20 session hoosiers were far far superior to my 20 session GY 3Rs. Slick vs street tire and a car with multilink suspension front and rear that keeps the car very flat. There is a reason while they call it purple crack. He said the second session was about .5 seconds slower on his car so I think in the right conditions and or new tires, I will join you in the land of 2:01.xx. Again awesome lap. They say the Hoosiers are worth about 2 seconds per lap so I think with a fresh set we could hit in the low 2.00s or maybe even hit a 159.99 on a flyer.

I can get about 35 sessions on these GY 3Rs but of course they go way off in the end until they get near cording. Late in the day it took until the 6th lap (warm up and traffic) to run three straight 2:03s and then they went off. Just the nature of street tires. Those RE-71Rs were my go to tires for all the years that I owned my souped up Cayman S.
COTA is most definitely COTA, the big daddy F1 track, but ECR is like a roller coaster in places with lots of elevation changes, smooth as a baby's ***, and a lot of fun to drive. A completely new track if you ever get to drive it in reverse. For those who have done it CCW, can you imagine going CW braking into the downhill hairpin # 14, climbing up #12 into a blind #11, then rolling huge speed up the 4 degree banked #10 and how much gas do you dare give it through #9 going up hill, then entering the drop off at #5 at over 100 mph (think baby corkscrew), followed by how early and how long can you keep the pedal to the floor all the way into and uphill and through #4, then kill all that speed going into #3 which is now a decreasing radius double apex. Pretty wild ride.
If you want to try this, check the schedule and you are more than welcome to come up for the day as a guest on a day that works for both of our schedules. Just PM me.

Yea, have done ECR CW and it’s much crazier. Thanks for the invite, might have to take you up on it sometime. I’d love to find out how I’d do with the Hoosiers. I bet I could get close to that 1:57 or maybe lower.

Well the pro went 2:00.0 on old Hoosiers and then 1:58.9 on fresh ones in our cars, so I think we are going to be a bit slower than that. Here is the video again. I don't think there is much if any meat left on that bone.

I might get a shot at it on old Hoosiers in a few weeks if I can get some decent weather and clear track at the next PCA event.

It's been quiet here so I drove 1100 miles to Nelson Ledges for 1Lap recon. It was the 1st event of the year so the track was green which caused peak g's to be ~.2g less than normal and temperature was in the mid 70's. No up charge for the roadkill Bumble Bee at start finish.
