Dated? or Just Right?

I would have had zero interest in the GT4 if it had the new style Porsche interior in it. Wouldn't have even considered buying it.

Nope and you can't pop the front trunk to jump the battery either. That's why there is a jumper point on the drivers side fuse box so you can supply power to the front trunk latch.
And there is virtually no car made over the last 20 years that can be bump started since the computer and EFI system along with the high pressure fuel pumps aren't operational without more than ~11.9V of power.
Buy one of these and keep it handy, it's lightyears better than jumper cables and donor batteries. https://antigravitybatteries.com/pro.../micro-starts/

Burning Brakes
On 991/981/718 push under-dash control to engage. Pull to release.
On Macan pull center console control to engage, push to release.
On 992 *push* center console control to engage, pull to release. (At least was the case initially, maybe PAG has reversed for MY’21.)
And that is how we got 992 Cupholder-Gate and why we know Porsche fired every single HMI engineer a couple of years ago.

probably a me too on this - and this will probably be the reason why I wont end up going for a 992 GT3 (if I am lucky enough to get an allocation)

Digital electronic shifting with the PDK is great, but analog switches, buttons, and ***** are faster, safer, and just plain easier to use.
Everything is so digital now that they have even eliminated the AUX analog audio input for the car. Now everything has to run through USB and their crappy integrated DAC in the PCM. Can't run Tidal on my iPhone with an audiophile DAC and then plug it into the car anymore. That is a huge improvement in sound quality for my daily drive Macan and my previous 981. No such luck with the newer generation car.

Why these cars don't include an option to actuate the parking brake when shifting in and out of Park, I can't imagine.

And is the damn parking pawl that’s engaged when you put a PDK in park not good enough?
Do you wear belts (plural) and suspenders?
God. I remember the days when German cars had one green blinker to remind you that the turn signal was activated. ‘cause German engineers figured you knew in which direction you were turning. Not anymore.

OMFG, That would p1$$ me off. I’m already miffed that you have to turn on the ignition and step on the brake pedal to put a PDK car in neutral.

The Macan isn't quite that bad. But I still prefer that the vehicle doesn't move after I put it in, well, you know, Park.
That whole interior was designed by people who take a bus to work.
