Wow! That is a really nice color. I didn't think I would like that color but I think it looks really nice on the Spyder. The soft color seems to fit the "softer" nature of the Spyder (compared to the GT4 anyways.)

Viola Metallic GT4 in Brazil.

I don't know Portuguese, but if Google translate is to be believed, this video is billing this Porsche GT4 as the first ever 718 GT4 in Brazil...

Nice find. Viola Metallic looks better in video than it does in the photos I’ve seen.

I assume this car came with a matching purse.

I just went to PECATL to pick a PTS as I’m hoping to get a slot. I was really disappointed with the samples. I’m sure they are accurate and you can view them in shade and direct sun. However, it was really tough to judge some of the colors. While I think the non-metallic greens are beautiful on cars I would never pick them based on the samples.

In many ways, Instagram is a better place to view samples but the photos are a touch off. For example Forest Green Metallic has a tinge of blue in photos but not at all on the sample.

It ultimately came down to Porsche Racing Green Metallic, Jet Green Metallic, and Forest Green Metallic. Jet Green is the most vivid. Forest Green had a bit of a gold cast to it. I settled on Porsche Racing Green Metallic. Fingers crossed.

I just looked at samples of both and 90% of the difference is the metallic. I believe PRGM is a bit darker.

Based on the pictures of PRGM in this thread, I like the color but like you said, it's hard to "see" the color on a computer screen because sometimes it's not accurate. Miami Blue is a classic example of how computers and cameras pick up the color and processes it for the computer but then you see it IRL and you say, "oh, I didn't know it was more turquoise/teal than what I saw on the computer."

May I also suggest reaching out to some of your local PCA chapters and sending them emails to see if any members has the specific green you're looking to see in person and willing to meet you somewhere?

@sanderabernathy Do you have info that indicates that the PTS window is opening again?

I haven’t asked that particular question. I asked my SA for a PTS and he said he’d check with his PCNA rep. He came back and said tell me the color so I sent the color and a revised build. Honestly, I don’t know if it’s open or closed, probable or unlikely. One thing I’ve noticed is the process of getting an allocation or anything else seems to be consistent across Porsche but the customer insight into the process varies dramatically depending on the SA and dealer.
