My Cayman GTS 4.0 arrived at my dealership right before they closed today. I was able to go over and see it as they were storing it inside for the weekend. I'll pick it up on Monday. Was able to get a few quick pics of the car before being cleaned up. Monday can't come soon enough!
Just back from my dealer after my first stick shift ride in 20 years. It was great and easy in this car! Love to shift the thing, very mechanical feeling, clunk-clunk kinda feel. I had it PPF'd just like my last CGTS and it held up well over 4 season usage in S. Jersey for 4 years (no snow).

Gator congrats! You look to be a happy man after a long wait to get your ride. Love that smile.
FWIW except for the interior it looks like we have the sister cars and PPF treatment. Hope both of us enjoy our rides for a very long time...

Congratulations, Borat!
I, too, will have my car wrapped in PPF, comrade!

Beautiful! Leather interior trim is the way to go with Black/Bordeaux interior. Pls post more pics once you get it.
Agreed on the leather trim. Now that I see it I sort of wish I'd done the leather door sills (would have been bordeaux) for something different, although easy enough to swap them out. I'm guessing I'll detail the interior tomorrow night and get some pictures. I was surprised at how dirty it is. I can see why picking it up tomorrow probably not going to happen if the dealership was going to both PDI and detail it...a little more than the cursory wipe down I assumed.
Edit: I think I'd do the extended dash trim in leather if I had to do it over again...the bordeaux stitching is more subtle than I thought it would be.
the bordeaux stitching is more subtle than I thought it would be.
Do you think it's less noticeable (less contrasting) than the GTS package or the special deviated stitching option? Maybe it's because bordeaux is darker so it contrasts less against black?

Yes, I think you're exactly right because the stitching is darker and doesn't pop as much on the black. Plus my eye is drawn to the bordeaux leather and not the stitching. The stitching is definitely noticeable and looks great, but it isn't the first thing that draws my eye like contrasting on a solid interior color. The espresso/cognac I had before was pretty subtle, too, being cognac stitching on espresso. Not bad, but didn't pop like say chalk on black. I think I would have been safe with the extended dash leather on mine. I would definitely have done it on a silver, white, or black, but was just hesitant to have the red stitching up near the hood and it looking too crazy superman with the gentian blue. My only frame of reference was seeing yellow extended deviated and extended leather dash on a purple Speedster, so not the best reference point before ordering.
Edit: I would say it is less noticeable than on the GTS package for sure since the eye is drawn to the bordeaux leather. It popped a lot more on the red stitched '19 GTS I borrowed from the dealer before ordering mine. Actually a full black leather interior with extended deviated and extended leather dash in bordeaux stitching would be pretty cool to see.
Are we looking at satin platinum and silver wheels here? I’ve seen a few of the GT4 / spyder rims with satin platinum and I feel it is a bit too dark for my tastes - it looks lighter on these rims (not sure if that is true or not).
