I would agree with Mr gregash. Some shorter lighter 19 inch rims, lighter brakes, lithium battery, a good track suspension set up, and a full exhaust for 40 more hp and torque; and you are looking at another 1-2 seconds faster into the GT3 range of times.

those Anti-Gravity batteries are amazing compared to the OEM in terms of weight (savings)!

The 2021 GT4 PDK is the PDK-S right?

If you build it on their website and look at the interior pics, the - sign is in the forward (push forward) position and the + is in the back (pull back) position. Doesn't that mean it is the PDK-S?

It is what it is for the PDK, whether S or not. My regular PDK has worked just fine at the track for 6 years now. Pops amazingly quick shifts whether or down in the middle of a corner or when standing on the brakes at the end of a long straight. Whatever it is technically, I am sure it will be fascistic, and a little better than what we had on the 981s.

Yes, not because of the shift direction (all PDK functions that way now), but because of the software, the gear ratios, no creep, PDK Sport mode, shift **** + plate, etc.

Porsche doesn't use PDK-S anymore as a term, but yes, the PDK is GT-specific.

PDK will give you a chance to practice your left foot braking. I think it brings back some of the engagement missing with the manual.

Can you please elaborate the difference between the PDK in the GT4 and the PDK in the GTS 4.0? Thanks

Google the Porsche press release. Ratios the same. Programming and gear shift lever are GT specific.

+1, e.g the GTS will have 4 modes: normal, sport, sport+ and individual (which for PDK I think means pick one of the previous 3), for GT PDK you have "normal" and "sport" which is effectively "sport" and "sport+"

I haven’t done any research into the differences between the PDK in the GT4 vs GTS. My comment was describing what is on offer about the PDK transmission for the GT4 if one is considering it vs manual—similar to how Porsche describes the benefits of selecting PDK as a transmission option.

If you go into the configurator all PDK's are now configured this way, as was the 991.2 so I suspect this is no longer a GT only thing.

I could be wrong, but I thought I saw something a while back that indicated that the PDK-S in the GT4 Clubsport had beefed up clutch plates etc, and was designed more for handling the rigors of racing. I could be wrong, but that might be what Porsche was referring to in the past with their nomenclature.

I really love how in the hardcover “718 Spyder - Perfectly Irrational” book that Porsche sent me, there is no mention of the PDK whatsoever. There isn’t one photo, one asterisk, or one hint of the existence of the PDK. That made me smile. 😊

Is it even possible to fit 19 x 11 on the rear of a GT4 (or any 718) without hitting suspension parts? I don't think so.

Yes. Mostly high end wheels, but yes.
