well said ... when you get it right - its you and not the electronics that's extracting the time!

Well with the 6MT, you're not going to be doing much shifting if you hate the gear ratios that a bunch of people are complaining about. 1 to 2 and sometimes 3.....and that's about it on the street. 4 and 5 and maybe 6 on the track.

Nobody has driven the PDK because it hasn't been released yet so you're not going to find any concrete information except for the VERY little info that PAG has released. Quick notes: half second faster 0-60 with PDK, top speed in 7th gear so it's not an overdrive, a little more torque, a little more weight, and different differential specs.....and costs $3200 more.

I think this depends very much on your age and physique ... but if you find them uncomfortable you can replace the inserts and improve the comfort

Both transmissions are awesome and if I was planning a lot of track use, I’d go PDK...but...when I owned Porsches with both, sometimes when out driving the PDK I missed the manual and really wished there was a third pedal; but the opposite never happened, I.e., I was never out in the manual longing for the PDK. But I liked both. Can’t go wrong either way.

Oh and the LWBs are awesome.

Manual is more retro and will eventually be completely obsolete (in a good way). Buckets depend on your body type and mobility. The only way to know is to sit in them. I've been on 3hr drives w/o issue. YMMV.

You forgot the revised lock-up rear diff. values. The PDK version gets better and more locking range of the rear diff.

I haven't taken my GT4 yet to the track, but did take my 981 CGTS 6MT. If you're racing against the clock, then I would agree PDK is the way to go. If you're going to a PCA DE event, the 6MT on the track is great and, for me, more satisfying.

This is just 100 percent wrong. Do you a manual?

I agree... the whole gearing thing is a joke. It’s only an issue if you are redlining every gear. 🤦🏻‍♂️

There is a post on a German forum that recently Sport Auto tested a PDK GT4 and that the numbers appear slower than the manual and that the car was heavier than expected.
