The breakpads are OEM GT4 pads.

have you left your wheels uncleaned with brake dust on them for any prolonged period of time?

how are your rear brakes, similar damage?

Potential theory... use of wheel cleaner and did not rinse off shortly after application? There’s acid in a lot of wheel cleaners.
