Based on your pics, its not the braking surface which had everyone puzzled .

You could remove your rotors and have them sand blasted. BTW, the braking surface looks like its seen some abuse.. Maybe overheating has caused the issue in the first place.

Urgh! Wonder if its related to acid rain (is that still a thing)? But seems like a combo of heat, cleaning materials/process, outside conditions and time. Guessing this car lives on the streets Doubt it has any impact on performance though.

I think your brake question has mostly been answered, but we need to see more of what’s going on with that fender! Looks like reptile skin, maybe taking the Cayman aesthetic too far.

OMG guys... my car is neither abused on the autobahn nor cracked on the fender.
The only thing you see on my fender is the white stone wall of my rental garage 😅

My GT4 has 10000 km on the speedo and is (of course) in a prestine condition! 🤣

I made some new pictures for you so can see the brakes better 😁

OMG on your new pics I see areas of discoloring on your wheel arch that looks like fall leaves!! Weird!

Thanks for the clarification now your first pictures makes more sense! And your rotors looks better on the recent pics.

Still not a good look especially when the rest of the car is pristine ...
I also don’t like the hub rust on the alloy locating tabs and around the axle nut which the dealers also write off as ‘normal’ - Had this on the 992 but haven’t had the wheels off yet to see if it’s the same on the GT4!

I wonder what if any products the OP is using to clean the wheels ... or perhaps what brake pads are installed ... really looks like some sort of chemical reaction/damage ...

funny that the "fender cracks" were actually a reflection of a whitewashed brick wall! ...

I agree - time for a new set of rotors IMO... (and probably pads too)

I‘m lucky that you are seeing the white brick wall now also 🤣...

I use the same all wheel cleaner (meguiars) I used on my BMW M4 for years without any issues.

The breakpads are OEM GT4 pads.

Did you or your dog ever pee on your wheels?
