There are two HUF sensors that I know will work for a 2020 718, the first is specific OEM part: 9A790727502 which translates to RDE047V21, the other is HUF BHsens Intellisens UVS4040 which is a programable unit that get set up before it is shipped to you.

A 2016 GT4 would use a RDE048V21 and will not work with a 2020 718, if you search on Tire Rack for wheels for a 2020 GT4/Spyder you will not be shown the Forged One series as they have not verified fitment, but they do fit. If you order a wheel/tire set based on the 2016 GT4 and don't correct the TPMS sensor selection (which is automatic) you will get sensors for a 2016 car.

From TR, this is the correct one for a 2020 718 GT4/Spyder:

Do you have PCCB? Can you share specs on these wheels please?

You may want to check the custom forged to fit your GT4 best.

As for expensive, that is your personal definition, the other wheels mentioned so far are great choices but hardly inexpensive!

You might want to check with the dealership, by VIN. Even within engineering code (981/991/718) the freqs can change. It took me 3 sets of TPMS with my Forgelines before I got the right set on my 991. That was a PITA.

Many sensors these days are programmable and handle both frequencies. At work (treadconnection.com) I use the Autel ones and program them for the specific vehicle via a hand-held programmer. Any decent tire shop should have the same capability.

I have had the experience that looking up by VIN did not provide accurate information as to a part or configuration on the car, the most recent being the exhaust bracket, by VIN it shows my car has the full bracket, in actuality only the rear center muffler is attached, not the GPF cannister.

Although my dealer did not have the ability to 'program' a sensor they do have the handheld tool (Wurth) that when set to the year make and model could tell you if the sensor in hand was compatible. This would save you from mounting a set of tires with the wrong one, unless of course the supplier was adamant it was correct and you made the mistake of believing them... Hence my new found level of knowledge about TPMS sensors!

The OE wheels look great, but if you are going to spend the money on a second set of wheels, why not get something significantly lighter? The OE wheels are not anchors, but we can certainly do better. 6-7 lbs per corner reduction in rotating unsprung mass will improve ride, make the steering feel a sharper and make the car feel more nimble. Now....the car is so good already that you are well into diminishing returns territory in terms of the benefits of these mods, but if you have decided to spend the money, might as well get something that will at least make some difference.

I have a set of Forgeline GX3s from my GT4. Used the for about 3000 miles before switching to a set of their CF wheels. $1500 for the set plus shipping. No dings, dents or scratches. The centers can be painted in any color you want.

Front 20x9 ET52. Rear 20x11. ET50
