It does, and it also pills. You can shave the pills off, but it sort of loses some fluff.

Yep, I agree with Wizee, it is easy to clean, and in fact if you have this material on the wheel and shifter you should be using a proper cleaner every 6 months or so (more often if you insist on using hand lotion or eating burgers before driving ).

I recommend Sonax cleaner as well as their brush, my Alcantara wheel and shifter looked factory fresh after 4 years of driving in the GTS, essentially like new the day I traded it for the Spyder... with an Alcantara wheel and shifter!
