While it is a lithium-compatible charger, my OEM battery is lead acid one and I keep the charger in the lead acid mode. The point of my post was that the 718 GT4 does still seem to run pretty high voltage for a while after startup, and that Antigravity's high voltage tweak to their BMS for previous Porsches will likely be helpful for the GT4 as well.

Update #3 of 3: So after a few weeks in the car there have been no abnormalities or issues after the initial install and charging (Looking back, I think the faults (CEL)were thrown because the battery needed to be fully charged). The voltage meter does fluctuate thru a greater range than the OEM battery (13.8 to 14.9 Antigravity vs 14.8 OEM steady/constant) but this doesnt seem to have any affect on the car or electrical. Also, I got a cable extension and routed the charging cable up to the front by the hood latch (velcro'd down and closes perfectly) so plugging in is a snap. So all working as advertised and very happy with purchase, Antigravity and the customer service. Thanks again, Chad!

Damn they are really starting to scrape the barrel for emission improvements. Thats impressive to see

All you guys plugging in every time you park might consider a Taycan!

Chad, are you guys making a battery pack for the Taycan Turbo S? That’s a EV upgrade I would like to see.

Great thread and great customer service. Thank you.

We are working similar applications currently..but the batteries will be likely be designed a little differently to accommodate lower voltage allowances since the function is a little different in these applications. I haven't come across the battery models being used for the Taycan's as of yet so we'd also want to try and figure out sizing to see what Porsche is using on these as well.

We have been testing a Group 51 Size in our Tesla Model 3 and all is working fine so far. We will be bringing these to market shortly for the Teslas... on the Porsches we want them to work out their initial bugs so they don't blame the small replacement battery for the system as being bad.... meaning we don't want them blaming the Owner of a Taycan for putting in a Lihtium System Battery and claiming it is causing the Taycans issues if/when they arise.
Best regards,
Chad

@Antigravity what are most people doing for their Pb battery disposal? Unsure if my local parts store wants my old battery if I'm not buying one from them.

I had an earlier model anti-gravity in my 991 GT3 and had to put a cable to open the frunk from under the car the few times it went into a state of low charge so I could push the button on top of the battery, a bit of a pain but it's still going strong as a friend now has the car. Put one in the GT4 with the wonderful new remote & although I haven't had to use it that is a great feature. I did nothing Re battery setting in the car. When I first installed it the 1touch windows stopped one touching and I had a light on in the dash. Drove it about a week and all went back to normal easy peasy. Just about the same weight savings of the RS variants with the Weissach Package at a fraction of the cost. Well done, great product.

Mine is sitting in the garage but I may put it in the boat next season as a backup.

I throw mine in the ocean. It's a safe and legal thrill.

Ya, I spoke with a local parts store and they'll take them. Bought an antigravity for my track car, working great so far. Got a form factor like a UTV, but it's more CCA than the car originally had. Will prob buy one for the GT4 sometime in 2023.

Going to be installing this (Black Friday sale is up!) but putting car into hibernation so will wait until it wakes up in the Spring of 23 to not risk any startup issues even though the battery will be on a tender. Anyone have any issues with startup after hibernation for the winter?
