I’m not sure where you’re getting 4,000 lbs. If you own the 991.2 GT3 in your avatar, your car likely weighs around 3200lbs, depending on options. Porsche sports cars don't weight 4,000 lbs, even the Turbos. And Porsche would charge you thousands to drop just a few pounds from any 911 variant.

Paying $800ish to lose 36-40lbs from a 3200lb GT car in just 30 minutes by swapping the lead battery for a lithium battery is very satisfying. By far the cheapest and quickest way to drop weight from a Porsche.

If you do the lithium battery swap and also the side muffler delete (on 991 GT3), you can drop another 42lbs easily. 80lbs lighter for a few thousand dollars, which very cheap in the Porsche GT world.

80lb weight reduction is noticeable on the track.

Hi Pyrat, as others mentioned there are a few key benefits.
-WIRELESS Built-In Jump Starting so you will never be stranded by a Dead Battery again. But also you will never be locked out of your Frunk either, which many people have had happen when a Lead/acid Battery goes dead.
- It wieght about 35lbs less than a Lead/Acid battery... so to lose that much wieght (35lbs) with Carbon Fiber or other lightweight product is going to cost over 10 grand actually. So for those looking for the weight loss that a very dramatic weight loss.
- But from another perspective one of the biggest points is that is has built in protection from over-discharge and other things that can harm a battery. For example the main reason most people have batteries go bad is simply because of a time or two of letting the battery get over-discharged. Our Lithium Battery can't do that so it can't be damaged. Additionally Lithium is rated at 3 times the cycles compared to Lead/Acid, a cycle is a complete discharge and recharge of a battery. So from that perspective also its a much longer life battery product.

But it is not for everyone, Lead/Acid is a less expensive product absolutely and can work fine. So if the features and benefits are worth it for the individual, then Lithium becomes a better value over the life of the product though its upfront cost is higher.

I have had mine for now 2-years and love having it and honestly it was worth every penny.
Zero regrets on buying it and having it installed.
Plus, your support is great as I have used it a few times.

Good call out - my bad. I used the GVWR of 3900 pounds and rounded up. So a better number would be 40/3227 or 1.24% of sprung weight reduction. GT4RS specs here for reference.

I've had the same Braille 48 in 3 different GT cars since 2016 and its going into the 4RS. I remember a guy asking me in a previous discussion about if I worried the weight difference would throw my GT3 "out of balance". The weight difference is really something and it's high center of gravity weight reduction.

that’s why the lithium battery swap is best paired with side muffler delete or OAP. Drops weight on both ends of the car.

almost perfectly balanced on my GT3. Saved 37lbs off the front and 42lbs off the back.

Default Antigravity Battery Installation

Hello Rennlisters!
For those who have installed these batteries or any new battery without a “cigarette lighter or OBDII memory saver,” which settings did you lose?
Just radio stations?
Did you lose other settings such as dash lighting, folding mirrors, etc?

I had to recalibrate steering (lock to lock 2x), windows (i think), and by driving, parking, locking the vehicle, waiting a few mins, then upon restarting, everything worked as normal.

@Antigravity will your upcoming charger for lithium and lead-acid batteries include a feature to keep power to the car while swapping batteries so settings are not lost?

Hi GianniG60, Yes, our 4 and 10 amp options for the chargers will have a power supply function to output continuous power. Thank you and feel free to reach out if you have any other questions at all.
Best regards,
Chad (chad@antigravitybatteries.com)

Is this charger that you're referring to available now, or in the near future?
