I use the alligator clamps on the battery's plus pole and the ground and route the cable under the hood because I don't want to keep the window open to route the cable to the footwell plug when the car is in storage. Besides that, I agree that the plugs in the footwell and in the armrest work well.

Larry, which model CTEK are you using on the AGB? The regular lead-acid battery charger kind? I notice Terry had a special CTEK version especially for lithium.
Not sure why I started using footwell, but it has always worked a charm for me. Never any issues.
Hmmm, the CTEK Lithium US charger says it is good for lithium-iron (Fe) batteries, and the AGB batteries are lithium ion. Problem? This is probably answered 60 posts up from this one...

As seen in the image above ^^^
Because it was 1 1/2 inches wider the tech had to use the other mounting-hole.
This battery ONLY is Wider ............

Yes, but Terry bought the 80… if the 60 is smaller and matches the factory size, I’d get that one so I don’t have to modify the holder like he showed.

Now we have seen the issue Tiger speaks of a few times, and it is because the LIP/CLEAT of the Sheet Metal Battery Tray in Porsches that grips onto the Batteries FOOT... is on the LEFT if looking from the front of the car at the battery) and BACK of the Tray, so we found that a few customers called us about this a long time ago, and after seeing pictures we asked them to slide the battery firmly to the LEFT because the Battery Tray's Lip was bent a little tighter than some of the other Battery trays, so the Battery FOOT was not sliding completely under that lip so the bolt hole would not match up. So rarely but sometimes, you have push left with a little force to get the batteries FOOT to slide under that lip/cleat on the left side of the Porsche Battery Tray.

I have an Antigravity 40Ah battery in my 4RS and it fits perfectly. So much easier to fit than OEM because its much lighter.

Then simply go for the smaller size as it's an exact fit to the stock Porsche 2021 718 GT4.
But ...............
Both the larger size I went for as well as the smaller size fit it's simply a personal choice sort of thing.

My 2 1/2 year old original battery conked yesterday so while I am disappointed it did not last longer I have no choice but to start looking for a replacement. I read this thread and it seems most are happy with these, and since I cannot ;leave a battery tender all the time this may be my best option I have a lithium ion on my Harley and it always starts, and it does get rode very often.

Curious. What are the benefits to these batteries that is driving everyone's interest? Is it the 1% reduction in overall car weight (40/4000 pounds)?

They last longer, maintain an emergency reserve to ensure your battery is never totally dead, seem to handle sitting better with less drain, come with a cool Bluetooth battery monitor, etc. Mostly it was the weight savings. Saving 40lbs on a 3200lb car usually takes much more extreme measures than a battery swap.
