I route the cable(s) through the door seals just in front of the driving mirrors ... works great no need to leave windows open ...

Not sure why I started using footwell, but it has always worked a charm for me. Never any issues.

Hmmm, the CTEK Lithium US charger says it is good for lithium-iron (Fe) batteries, and the AGB batteries are lithium ion. Problem? This is probably answered 60 posts up from this one...

@Antigravity Are the 40/60/80 all the same size and 1 1/2” larger than the stock one?

The Antigravity Lithium Battery I went with is 1 1/2 inches "Wider" than the Porsche 2021 Cayman 718 GT4 battery.
As seen in the image above ^^^
Because it was 1 1/2 inches wider the tech had to use the other mounting-hole.

This battery ONLY is Wider ............

Yes, but Terry bought the 80… if the 60 is smaller and matches the factory size, I’d get that one so I don’t have to modify the holder like he showed.

The guys at Tigers shop must not have tried push the battery hard enough to the LEFT (passenger side if look at the battery from the front). Our battery is the exact size of all H6, H7, H8 sizes, it is a standard Case size, no different from what is on the market. We are NOT longer but exactly the same to comprable H6s , H7s, H8s.. Tigers original Battery was an H6, But then Tiger bought the larger Amp Hour model but in the H7 Size. So each succesive step of an H Series battery is the exact same Height and Depth but they get 1.5" longer so that is why his H7 was LONGER than the original H6. But the Porsche Battery Tray can accept them all.

Now we have seen the issue Tiger speaks of a few times, and it is because the LIP/CLEAT of the Sheet Metal Battery Tray in Porsches that grips onto the Batteries FOOT... is on the LEFT if looking from the front of the car at the battery) and BACK of the Tray, so we found that a few customers called us about this a long time ago, and after seeing pictures we asked them to slide the battery firmly to the LEFT because the Battery Tray's Lip was bent a little tighter than some of the other Battery trays, so the Battery FOOT was not sliding completely under that lip so the bolt hole would not match up. So rarely but sometimes, you have push left with a little force to get the batteries FOOT to slide under that lip/cleat on the left side of the Porsche Battery Tray.

I have an Antigravity 40Ah battery in my 4RS and it fits perfectly. So much easier to fit than OEM because its much lighter.

If you don't wish to use the other mounting hole for the Larger Antigravity Lithium Battery I went with ???
Then simply go for the smaller size as it's an exact fit to the stock Porsche 2021 718 GT4.

But ...............

Both the larger size I went for as well as the smaller size fit it's simply a personal choice sort of thing.

Terry

Impressive, I've always had to stand in the frunk to get that OEM boat anchor out!

My 2 1/2 year old original battery conked yesterday so while I am disappointed it did not last longer I have no choice but to start looking for a replacement. I read this thread and it seems most are happy with these, and since I cannot ;leave a battery tender all the time this may be my best option I have a lithium ion on my Harley and it always starts, and it does get rode very often.

the one time I forgot to put the trickle charger on the car started 1st time (several weeks later) using the AGB feature where the battery "disconnects itself" automatically retaining a starting charge ...

Curious. What are the benefits to these batteries that is driving everyone's interest? Is it the 1% reduction in overall car weight (40/4000 pounds)?

They last longer, maintain an emergency reserve to ensure your battery is never totally dead, seem to handle sitting better with less drain, come with a cool Bluetooth battery monitor, etc. Mostly it was the weight savings. Saving 40lbs on a 3200lb car usually takes much more extreme measures than a battery swap.
