Wow... Anyone considering the Carrera Sport wheels? They look larger, much easier to clean, an I like how the black wheel has the silver accents and outer edge to visually separate the wheel from the tire. Just started playing around with them on the configurator. All of a sudden I like them, after seeing them on this Python gts. Any idea how their weight compares to the standard wheels?

Not sure on the weight difference. Something I was wondering myself. But I specced them on my build which looks like the second GT Silver you’ve posted above.

The Carrera Sport Wheels remind me of the Fuchs. Here's my build. Only thing I'd add that the configurator won't is painted seatbacks.

A beautiful modern interpretation of my current Boxster in GT Silver with Nat Brown Leather:
Even closer:
The closest, Espresso with silver stitching. Ouch:

After driving my first year 2000 Boxster S for 20 years I have decided to treat myself to a new GTS. The 6 cylinder engine is back, manual transmission, and simply a modern version of my current vintage Porsche. My 2000 Boxster S is not going anywhere however it will DEFINITELY be going into retirement. I went a bit overboard on the build however I truly believe this will be the last gasoline powered Boxster and the next one will be full electric. My car is already built and has a VIN number. Unfortunately US EPA seems to not want to release it to me until December 4

I go see my Dealer next week to lock this puppy down. Going with Gentian and Satin Platinum wheels. Originally I was going with the Black Leather Race Tex interior with black aluminum but now I'm having 2nd thoughts and think I might go with the GTS interior in red stitching as it would compliment the red calipers....I need help! My wife thinks I'm nuts sweating this!!!
My Build is EXACTLY this (red stitching).

I am liking those Carrera Sport wheels. Here’s a real world example which looks amazing to my eye (yes I know this is not a GTS). I find when I change the colour I often change the wheels (that green boxster above is a prime example of a combination that works, but individually I’m not a fan of either).
I know this is a silly complaint but the configurator really does a lousy job on the platinum satin wheels. It represents these well though.

Night Blue at night
If you’re considering the Night Blue - you may want to consider after-dark visibility if you’re using it daily.
The NB Boxster is pretty damn invisible from the rear at night, especially in the rain. I can’t speak about other similarly dark colors. The only real world experience is with the NB.
The non-reflective dark top and lack of glass in the back (along with any dark color paint) could be the contributing factors. It’s also possible that my vantage point at the time (from a mid size SUV) contributed.
But I was pretty surprised when I followed a NB one two weeks ago.

What do you think of the rest?
I have a client who has an old air cooled 911 and a 997.2. GT3 and he specifically asked me if I was getting a wiper and I said that I was not. He said the same people who hate the sport chrono “wart” love the wipers..... I didn’t really know what to make of that other than to chuckle.
If I had to order right now, it would be this but with the satin black on the wheels not gloss:

We're overthinking this. I present the uber-stripper, $92,360 msrp, $2110 in options: just (silver) paint, heated steering wheel, Bose, and done. Sporting NA 4.0 Porsche goodness, heated seats, Apple car play, black PDLS + 4 LED DRL lights, heated soft/warm/grippy alcantara on hands and a$$, AND POWER TOP standard. The best bang/$ in Porsche universe, including 911, in a very long time. Easy to keep clean silver -- just sit in it and drive your a$$ off. A timeless classic:

Great build and excellent value!
For me though, I've had 4 Porsches and they've all been someone elses creation. This is my 1 and only new Porsche, so I'll add a few bits and pieces as it will likely be the last ICE / Manual car I'll buy so I'm in it for the long haul! My final price when it was locked in last week came in at $110k Canadian which is like what $35 American? ;-)
