This would be a thread where Boxster/Cayman GTS 4.0 color combos would be posted and discussed. First with config pics and later, as deliveries start, with real life pics and videos.
I'll start with one that I have recently found appealing, Agate with Black/Bordeaux leather, platinum wheels, red calipers, and red roof:
I am debating which of these 2 to lock down. Both have silver wheels, 10mm option on the lowed suspension and deleted Race-Tex headliners so the interior leather color will be matched by the headliners.. Graphite Blue for the GB and Agate Gray for the AG. I will lock down the Gentian Blue unless the Aventurine Green sways me before the final freeze date.
I know it is not a Boxster but the colors thread will be interesting for both models as to what folks are looking at, I think. If this is not O.K. with hf1 I'll delete it.....

This is a good idea. Is the OP OK with Cayman GTS 4.0 in his thread or should we start a separate one?
Of course I'm OK with Caymans too. I think the color combos are all the same except for the Boxster top. Should have put that in the title. Not sure I can change it now. I did edit the OP thread description to add the Caymans.
I think I've narrowed down my selection to gentian blue with black/bordeaux. Backrest shells in leather, dash trim in leather, black calipers, roll bars painted, headlight washers painted, model delete and Porsche in satin black. I am down to either standard wheels in platinum or carrera sport wheels in one of the blacks. My SA says jet black metallic looks really nice on the wheels, but it's hard to visualize without seeing it in person on a wheel (despite my current car being jet black metallic). I haven't really found many good real-world pictures of the carrera sport wheels.
^ Looks hot! I strongly prefer the standard wheels in platinum. Why not leave the red calipers to complement the red interior? Why not leave the headlight washers black? I think the roll hoops in exterior color are a must on the GTS Boxster. On the Spyder they actually ruin the flow of the humps and are better left black.
GB with Espresso/Cognac, brown top, aurum wheels, though this could also work with Aventurine, Agate, GT Silver, Night Blue, or Black:
I like this combo with the arum wheels! I like the multiple colors and contrast stitching with the espresso/cognac versus all cognac. I would consider this if I didn't already have espresso/cognac on the 911 I'm selling for the Boxster. It seems like sort of a rare interior on the 911, not to mention boxster/cayman.

How did you find cognac in terms of keeping it clean? Is it a lot darker than Beige? I'll have to go to the dealer to see some of these combos in real life.

I agree on the Spyder roll hoops. Every real-world picture of the platinum make them look less dark than the configurator, so I think the standard wheels in platinum are where I'm leaning. For the calipers I was thinking I'm done with red calipers for a while but I haven't ruled it out (especially with $900 for black). The black headlight washers are much better than chrome, but my thinking there is that I had a body shop paint them on my 911 so having Porsche paint them avoids me obsessing over it down the road.
I am still struggling with interior colors on my Cayman GTS 4.0, but I have elected to go for GT Silver on the exterior despite the fact that I love blue. Please note that gentian blue does not look anything like it does on the configurator (I think it looks much better in person), but it has an amazing (and to my mind, disturbing) tendency to change appearance drastically in different light. In particular, it takes on a purple tint when it is not in direct light. I would encourage anyone considering gentian blue to try to see it in the flesh, and in various lighting conditions.

Here's mine. Pretty much satisfied. The only potential change is Porsche Crest embossed on headrests; SA thinks that they may have GTS on them. We will see.
