Be aware that Canadian Porsche sales are only around 5% of the whole world. So if they build 1500 (1000 GT4 + 500 Spyder ) for Canada, that would mean around 30k globally. Anyway, I don't think they'll build anywhere near that many. There aren't enough buyers for them in Canada.

They actually sold around 2000 C7 Z06 in Canda, not 1000, I was mistaken earlier. They built a total of around 10.5k C7 Corvettes for Canada.
They are getting shipped together for sure! What dealer did you purchase from?

As for the numbers, I think they made between 19-30k Boxster/cayman worldwide production no? Can someone confirm that?

What did you spec in yours?

They've been building roughly 20k 718 Boxster/Cayman of al variants combined per year globally for the past 4 years.

I was originally ordering one that's GT Silver, PDK, platinum wheels, 2-way Sport Seats Plus, and Spyder Classic interior with red top. However, I later got impatient and decided to buy one my dealer (Oakville) had incoming, and decided their spec actually works well for me. The one I'm actually getting is Carrara White Metallic, black top, black interior with silver stitching, bucket seats, and manual transmission. I plan to swap out the seat centres for 911R-style silver and black houndstooth patten ones made from OEM fabric.

Just Checked VIN analytics again; has changed, currently I am now 83/95. So there are more spyders then we thought in Canada. I still think 500 total over three model years will be pretty close.

I discovered the VIN Analytics counts only include Spyder VINs the site has had requests to decide. Hence, it’s under reporting the numbers in Canada and USA. The numbers for Canada went up because I gave it 20+ Canadian VINs it hadn’t previously seen.

My guess would be closer to 300 Spyders for Canada will be built in total, but we’ll see. They’ve actually built around 120 for Canada so far, and 350+ for USA. I’m building a database of all North American Spyder VINs and their specs.

I noticed that the Spyder numbers went way up compared to the GT4 numbers.

This is awesome, it will be fun to see the stats for the builds! Where are you getting the VIN's and build information from?

VIN Analytics is a cool site. I'm car 62 of 96 in Canada. But from @wizee post above, the total is not correct.

Spyder left assembly June 17. I got caught with about a 2 month delay due to pandemic.

Think you have GT4? If so, those are not made in Zuffenhausen right?

There have been over 500 718 Spyders produced for USA and Canada thus far. Over 135 for Canada, and over 365 for USA. Of the first 500 Spyders by VIN sequence (between WP0CC2A82LS240101 and WP0CC2A8XLS240640 with some gaps), there are:
  • 50 White
  • 48 Black
  • 28 Guards Red
  • 10 Racing Yellow
  • 64 Carrara White Metallic
  • 65 Gentian Blue Metallic
  • 146 GT Silver Metallic
  • 27 Miami Blue
  • 55 Chalk
  • 7 Unknown Colour

So likely double the number of GT4s ?
