Default finance rates

Looks like I will be taking delivery this week if all goes well.

What sort of finance rates are people getting from the Bank of America versus Porsche Financial Services?

Rates should be low enough to make it worth the while.

Disagree, if a lender was offering me ~1.00% for 7+ years, I would take it all day long even if I had planned to pay cash.

Check Penfed. I used them for a used car with a great rate last year, even better now.

It was 2.5% a month ago on the GT4 for PFS.

BofA was the lowest for me at the time (including PenFed and the others). 2.19 with preferred status. Otherwise it's 2.69, just like their website says. Dealer made it worth my while to go with PFS instead of taking the better rate.

Edit: these are all 60 months.

Finance rates depend on your credit score and sometimes on your relationship with the institution. That said, I can't believe people finance cars as long as 7 years. You're up-side-down from the gitgo for the longest time. IMHO if you have to go that long you really can't afford it.

Just picked up my GT4 last Friday. Went with BECU (local credit union I've been with for a long time) since PFS had the same rate. I have a top tier credit score and wanted a 5 year loan. Got 2.74%. The mythical 1.97% that was thrown around for PFS was specifically for non-GT cars.

From which company? 2.49 is really low for a 84 month term.

That depends on the equity going into the deal.

Ya'll aren't trying hard enough! I've 1.95 from 60-84mos w/a credit union. This is in TX however. Not sure that makes a diff. for those outside of TX. Prior to going to sign papers I always secure my own financing and there's plenty of options out there. Especially now.
