You're right, it is very ugly! I'm also getting the espresso/cognac interior and thought that I was getting leather backrest shells, like it says on the first line of the information button on the configurator. Thanks to this thread, I looked again and found out that when I scroll up, there is a note at the bottom that says that this doesn't apply to the Sport Seats Plus! My build locks this next Thursday. Talking about good timing! I've already contacted my SA and I'm adding the leather espresso/cognac backrest shells to my build!

People change the color of their cars with a wrap. I wonder if that would be possible with the seat backs.

Yes, you could do a matte color to match the back wall and keep it light weight. Brilliant.

I was planning to give up the leather backrests in CGTS since no one will ever see them, but now...

Which exterior colour are you pairing with the espresso cognac?

My exterior color is Irish green. I think the combo looks fantastic.

I wish the back seat panel could be easily removed - I love my interior now but it would look spectacular if the seat back was Black with deviated Yellow stitching!

That would look fantastic on your car, especially with all the other yellow highlights you have!

Bob,

Easily the best option of many on my build. The standard backs just stick out in a sea of black interior. On the 18 ways, you also get the bottom panel in leather.

Talk to Frank at Exclusive, might be expensive but sure they’ve done one.

I was right there with you... except my build is now at $135,370. What's an extra $5k when building your perfect car? I did end up switching back to buckets but the 18-way in leather with the extended deviated stitching would only be $1k less.
