I am thrilled to announce that I finally picked up my car yesterday. Coming from a 6MT BMW F80 M3, this car is tremendously more fun to drive (and look at). So far I've had very limited seat time but I look forward to reporting back on my impressions, especially after giving her a shakedown at the track. For now I cant stop smiling with excitement and pinching myself that the car is finally here.
Quick rundown and ideas behind the build:
Guards Red - All time favorite non PTS color on porsches (looks fast)
Silver wheels - make silver wheels great again!
LWBS - not a daily, will be used on track, look and feel great
steel brakes - track use, long term ownership maintenance cost
full leather dash, steering column, and 12 o'clock marker and seat belts in red
otherwise not many more options as I tried to keep the MSRP down and the car is not a daily so not a whole lot of use for nav, carplay, etc.
Wow. Looks great, and that garage background is INSANE. Love it. I’m working on building a silver garage of my favorites. There should be a thread on themed garages.
Suits the personality of the car well as it’s a bit of a throwback car and Guards and silver wheels are kind of under appreciated in the new era. An homage to simpler times... nice.
Absolutely love it. I have a guards red on order that I’m supposed to get in two week. Was starting to have second thoughts about my choice of colour. Seing your pictures, great ones btw, assured me that I made the right choice of color.
I love the GR with silver wheels and the silver headlights. I though I was the only one taking the risk with those silver large Xenon's but I see you beat me to the punch on those. They look amazing. I can't wait to see my Spyder (hopefully end of next week).
Enjoy in good health and thanks for sharing this beautiful beast.

Thanks for the compliments guys. When I was speccing the build one thing I was sure of was that it had to have the silver wheels no matter the color of the car. Funny how you don't see many cars rocking them, perhaps because they get so filthy after just one touch of the brake pedal
