These are such great looking cars, thanks for posting the photos. Am going to my local dealer tomorrow to ask about any leads/hope on a MB GT4, before this color is gone!

Saw a MB cab last week with black wheels and really looked good. I personally like the platinum but very close

if you need to build one to your specs, I recommend you contact Jason Mayes of Porsche Waukesha. I was working with Jason on a PTS car we were unable to obtain.
Jason has 2 December allocations avaliable (Spyder & GT4).

Hi Guys. New to posting on rennlist, have been reading for quite a while.
first a little background on me. I was very lucky to have a father that loved Porsches which led me to love Porsches. Between the entire family, I daily drive an Audi S5 sport back, mom daily drives an Audi RS5 sportback, And when dad is not behind the wheel of one of his 911s, daily drives a ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn. One 911 Was Ordered Straight from Germany in 2005, The other a 996, was purchased at an auto auction. The 997 is wrapped in a Mexico blue.
My father recently discovered he loved the Spyder after looking for A new convertible down here in Florida. After a couple months of trying to get an allocation down here, and looking at CPO Ferrari’s, He decided to pull the trigger on a Spyder with a Large dealership close to home in NY. I have done most of the legwork in terms of research, and found a young salesman (seems like a nice guy) who said they had an allocation.
now here’s why I am posting today: I am looking for a little insight and guidance from the experts on here. It’s been a very long time since my father ordered a bespoke Porsche, and now that I am old enough to have a say in what goes into the car (to an extent), I have found myself living vicariously through my dad’s awesome new purchase!
he went into the dealership earlier this week and put a deposit down and built his spec with the young salesman who says he has an allocation. When I asked him about our car he said that this one will be “locking” in two weeks. After spending many hours on here, the salesman doesn’t seem as knowledgeable as you guys when it comes to allocations and what not. I just want to make sure that we are not getting bull****ted when it comes to this whole allocation process.
I guess Long story short, my question is can someone help me figure out when this car will be built? I see that Miami blue is not an option for the 2021 model year however our sales person stated that this will be a 2021 car. I hope that Miami blues does not disappear. What questions should I ask him in order to not be pushy and insulting, but also making sure I can get some better info on the car we ordered.
Thanks in advance!
Jared

only your dealer knows when their allocation is scheduled to build but a clue that the build will lock "in a couple of weeks" suggests that it might be a Jan build month,
which is after the Dec deadline for Miami Blue.
you need to ask him when the build is due to be built. if its after 12/4 you wont get Miami Blue.

My freeze “lock” date for a 16 Sept enter production date for my Spyder was last Friday.
If you’re a couple weeks out from a lock, then you’re looking at an Oct allocation/build.
MB will be an option. It will be a 2021 MY.
I recommend you head down and secure that slot.

You’ll be fine. If it locks in 2 weeks you should have a build earlier than December which is the rumor for when Miami blue may go away. I have a build that locks early oct to be built late oct and it should be okay. Basically if your build goes v250(locks/freezes) with Miami blue then it’ll be built. And it’ll be a MY 2021 because I think sept is the change-over IIRC

I keep seeing on this thread people mentioning MB won't be an option on cars ordered after the end of this calendar year. Has there been any confirmation from PAG or PCNA on that? Or what colors will be available for cars produced in 2021? Thanks!

Got news today my order went V220-vehicle selected for production.
Should be built in about 3 weeks !
This car was the inspiration for my build, really looking forward to this Spyder.
