December 4th is the on sale date for the 2021 Model Year 718 Spyder and GT4... So I see where your SA thinks it’s the cut off because Miami Blue is no longer available for the 2021 MY. I don’t think it is the last date you can actually order it. On the German Porsche website for the 718 Spyder and GT4 it states STARTING November 2020, Miami Blue is no longer available. For the PCNA 2021 911, Miami is discontinued as of August allocations. Until PAG accepts your build (V200) I would not assume anything.

Not sure this is quite right either. I just finalized a September Spyder (2021 MY) Build that locked last night -- MB was available. I previously had a November Spyder (2021 MY) build date with the same dealer and we also looked at MB as an option. He was able to move my build forward to September in order to preserve some options that are being discontinued in November . Bottomline is that both of my 2021 MY (September and November) builds MB was available -- he stated the November allocation was the absolute last for MB.

Of course this all to say -- anything can be correct and since I'm going RY my interest was waning anyway.

Having hard time following the timelines and lingo. What is the definition of a "November Build"? Is November:
1 - when the order freezes
2 - when production (building) starts
3. - when car is delivered to dealer
4. - or something else?
Is "November Build" the same as "November Allocation"? Thx.

When I used “build” I meant factory build month.

I assume the lock date for the November build/allocation was in Oct as my SA said we had a couple months to lock. Never made it that far as my order was not accepted because of 2 options being discontinued.

SA was able to put me in a September build/allocation yesterday And the lock/freeze was coincidentally yesterday.

Seems like lock date to production is about 3 weeks give or take.

You looking for a miami blue Spyder? Give me a shout.

Sorry for the confusion.

No, I keep reading about these months, "builds", "allocations", and timings and had no idea what those phrases actually meant. Looks like all of them refer to the official date of production completion for the car. Shooting for a Boxster GTS 4.0 for Euro Delivery in Spring. Probably Python Green.

Waffled on the Python back and forth, but in the end wanted a matching interior and no Python deviated thread. Not being able to see the color was also problematic...some pics look great and some are horrible IMO.

Looking forward to seeing some US delivered cars!

Did you see python samples next to lizard or mamba stitching and concluded that they clash or just didn’t want to take the risk? Miami is out due to my Spring timing. Good luck!

No only online.

Just too many unknowns. We love the RY and of course the stitching is a match. We checked off all the dev thread options so a mis match would not have been good.

Yes, RY is very close to the top for me, as well. My 996 GT3 is Speed Yellow. There's something really special about a yellow sports car -- adds to every drive's occasion.

I think this color really needs darker wheels, either platinum or black. I saw a Miami colored Porsche again in the showroom today and it was a big nope to me, but it had silver wheels and I just think that makes the color look weak.
