On my last two Porsche’s that shut down 30 minutes after shutting off the car. Supposedly there was a setting the dealer could change but it didn’t work on my Spyder.

If you plug your phone into this area, is there a place to rest your phone? On the floor, on the passenger seat, in the passenger footwell net? What do you guys do?

If you use this charging port below the glove box, where do you rest the phone while it's charging?

You could use the passenger footwell cargo net to hold your phone while it charges. I personally don’t charge my phone in the car, but I imagine that would be a pretty secure spot to tuck it away.

I have the smoker’s package in my 981S and don’t like it. I often rest my arm on the center console and somehow tap the cover and open it. Then it’s enough of a discomfort that you have to momentarily distract yourself to re-close it.

These are just two of the reasons I opted (once again) for the Smoking Package...

FWIW, in the past 2 981's I have had and in the Macan we still have I have only ever used the center console cigarette plug for my CTEK chargers, always works for me.

Once it again it comes down to personal preference... power source isn’t an issue as there more than enough elsewhere in the car.

Thanks! didn't know this. I still like the look. Glad I checked the option still.

Ha, we are so lucky. Yes, I'm hoping to tick ALL the boxes before I'm done.
