Default Anyone else go into high anxiety over your build

when your lock in date has been announced??! I'd another 3 weeks to build it out for the 100th time..was just advised Saturday it's been bumped up to this Monday!

Nope... just you (me in denial).
having ordered a few Porsches, when I get within a month of freeze, I’ve always treated it as tomorrow... things can shift up or move out if you constantly change it.

with the « just in time » building process I guess the least changes are made the better chance of getting the build in the predetermined time slot. «Oh wait a minute!! That commison number 842028 just changed his wheel color again! Let’s pull him back a month! »

My build locked and I didn't realize it...which was really annoying because I didn't know that the "smoker's package", was how you get the little door/covering over the purposeless lint trap on the centre console and I wanted to add it, but I was told too late! Now I will have to do it at the dealership which turns a no-cost option into a cost option. (grumpy)

Will a cell phone fit well standing up in that opening? Or is it either too small or in the way of the shifter/arm rest? Can't decide if I should do smoker's package or not.

Suppose it depends which phone you have? I have Note 10+, so doubt it would fit in there without annoying me when shifting. Plus, while in the car I keep my phone in my work bag or pocket anyway. Cops love to give tickets around here for distracted driving.

Yeah, figured it was kind of an open ended question. I have a S10+. I'll have to find a local owner or go down to the dealer to check out the placement.

I had the smoking package with my last Spyder... this go I opted not to do it. I never used it before. Nothing but coins fit in it and I never used the cig lighter as a power source as there is multiple power sources now. Figured I would use to opening for my wallet? I always remove my wallet whenever I drive.

The smoking package is pretty much useless, even for coins.
The only reason to spec it is if you want the lid there (looks better). Without it, the opening isn't really big enough for a phone either, so neither option is perfect.
If I had the choice to redo, I would not have taken it.
I don't hate having it though.

The smoking package allows you to use the Porsche trickle charger cigarette plug. And I like the look of the door.

Many thanks to this forum. I've learned a lot from these threads. I'd planned to go red stitching, but switched after someone recently posted great interior pics. Decided I wanted more contrast. 4midable, my heart goes out to you. I'd done Euro delivery on a M3 in '16 and then found 2 months later that the Full leather dash was an option. Then BMW came out w/the competition package so I traded in the '16 and got a '17. My client advisor admitted he just didnt think about telling me about it. This go round I've researched the crap out of this to ensure I get everything on it I'd want. Fortunately my Porsche advisor has built out a lot of cars and made great suggestions. Which in turn = more $ but hey, at least I knew what was available!

For the record what I was stuck on was red seat belts with silver stitching interior or silver belts. Only red on the interior is the 12'o clock marker. Red calipers of course. AND if anyone is still reading this long post is the needle on the white sport chrono red?!

You are suppose to use the power port on the passenger side left side below the glove box for the trickle charger. IIRC the cig port cuts out after a certain time once key is out of the ignition, where the one I mentioned does not. People were having issues with this on the 981.
