I can assure you that Miami Blue is being phased out and the Shark Blue will be introduced as a 2021 MY color. What I don't know is whether or not Shark Blue will be an option for the 718 variants (I would assume so in some capacity if not all). I will try and keep everyone posted as we go when the info becomes available at work.
Can someone post a decent photo or two of Shark Blue?
Make sure that you see MB in person before you go with it. MB rarely photographs accurately, particularly in direct sunlight. You really need to see it in person to make sure you like it. It looks very different than most of the pics in this forum.
I was also looking at MB but in person, too much green in it for me, at certain angles.
Looks like word on the street, is that its being phased out due to reports of fading/discoloration in warmer climates...@ 1:35:

It's all personal preference, but I think no other Porsche color looks as different between pictures and real life than Miami Blue. It has a Mexico/Riviera look in most pictures, but that is not what it looks like in person. I'm not a fan of MB on most cars, but I think it works on the GT4 for some reason.
When it first came out, I did not like Miami Blue AT ALL. And then I saw a Cayman GTS in it with PCCBs and thought, WOW. You have a gorgeous car. That color fits that car perfectly. Enjoy it in good health always.
Miami blue is much more teal in real life, with more green in it than some other blues. Mexico and Riviera for example are much more of a sky blue with blue and white mixture compared to the blue/green of Miami Blue. I do think the Miami Blue suits a model like the GT4 very well though.
I thought that was Miami during the commercial. Looks like it's between Miami and Voodoo, kind of a lighter Voodoo, with more blue and little less green/yellow tone than Miami. What is that now, 400 different shades of Porsche blue?
So, I had been on a waiting list to place an order since June 2019 and was probably going to wait some more until I could place an order. I wanted Miami Blue, 18-way (+ heated seats), PCCB, and gray stitching.
Well, I was looking at all of the cars pop up for deliveries and it was making me impatient.
Then, lo and behold, one with about 95% of the spec I wanted popped up for sale (and available!) in Naples, FL. Within a couple hours of e-mailing I had my name on it, and now about 2 weeks later it's in my garage!
Am I the first one to buy one off the lot?
I've already replaced the yellow markers with the clear ones I had on my previous 718 2.0T (not in these pictures).
Driving thoughts (I've driven maybe 10-15mi so far):
- The suspension is even more sorted and compliant than my 718 Cayman Base. It's not softer it's just.... better.
- The exhaust sounds plenty fine stock. I may want an aftermarket one in the future but I am more than happy as is.
- PCCB are a little squeaky (knew this going in)
- MT feels great, reverse takes some getting used to (first MT Porsche. I like the "push-down" lockout of my VW Golf previously more than this)
- My front splitter already became briefly acquainted with a parking curb. It's fine, it's just now broken in
I feel slightly bad that I "jumped the line" - but I'm not sorry I got almost the exact car I want with the rest of summer to enjoy it
