I looked in the Porsche newsroom, no mention there, where did Volkswagen post their closure information?

"Volkswagen, the world’s biggest automaker, on Tuesday became the latest firm in the sector to announce the temporary closure of European plants—those in Spain, Portugal, Slovakia and Italy will shut this week, while its German factories will close after Friday. The facilities produce cars under brands including Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, Ducati, Porsche and Lamborghini."

I added a link... Multiple sources reporting it.

I would hope that we might hear from our SA's to advise us about any delay, assuming of course they have been officially apprised of this.

As much as we hate to learn that, this is the right decision from VW group. Every unnecessary gathering of people should be postponed until further notice. I hope other companies will follow in this path, as UAW and US automakers are getting ready to announce. We are at the very beginning of this pandemic and it will go in history books as one of the the worst disaster if not THE worst disaster in mankind. It's sad for the workers and the economy in general snd it will change our lives for a long time.
Right now I'm thinking about the health of my elderly parents and friends. I wish all the best to everybody during this crisis and sure hope we can resume discussing our lucky situation of eventually getting a P car ASAP.

This is an image of realtime marine traffic on the atlantic ocean. Imagine all sailors on these ship, potentially infected (30-70% estimated infection rate at the peak of the pandemic). We need to minimize these travels to strict survival necessities.

I’m actually glad that the delivery dates are slipping (I guess for selfish reasons). I have to lock in my order by early May (that’s my original v250 date anyway) but I don’t want to do that while the world economy remains in turmoil. I’m really glad that I didn’t have to lock it in just before the virus hit the fan. I feel bad for those of you who did. Hopefully, by the time I have to lock mine in, the future will be rosier.

Good point. But I am assuming that everything will get backed up and all production dates will shift forward by weeks if not months.
