Adding PCCBs to my Spyder Order. GT Silver & classic interior
Yeah $9k for brakes is a lot but a Spyder loaded with all the good bits from LWBs to PCCBs is still $200k cheaper than a speedster. I just don’t know if the yellow will look ok with silver and a red interior. It looks good in the configurator and I suppose I could always get the calipers painted if the color really bothered me.
any thoughts on PCCBs or the above color scheme are welcome.

Do it. The brakes are worth it, and will look fine, IMO. You can always change the color later if you can't live with it. For me, I like the offset color. I have a white car, with red deviated stitching on a black interior. The yellow pops. Think it will on your build too. Good luck!

It could look good in yellow. Yellow and silver are really working good together IMO. I had a silver E63 wagon with CCB (gold calipers) and red interior and it did not bother me. On a spyder the red interior will be more visible so it might be a consideration to go black calipers so the interior is the main attraction when roof down. But to each his own. A powder coating job is not that expensive (probably less than the option for black calipers actually!) so going yellow is not an irreversible decision. In any case, post pictures once delivery is done!

For me, it's not so much the $9k to get them, as much as it's the $20k+ to replace, if someone is careless removing wheels, or something gets caught between the rotor and wheel. The inside of my wheels have a lot of scoring along the brake track. Had I followed through with my 718 GT4, order I had no intention of getting PCCBs, but this CPO example became available, and I got it before doing enough research...rookie mistake.

If something happens (likely won’t) I’ll replace them with this https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...ternative.html and sell the remaining three and cover most of the cost.

Life happens. Control what you can, and let the rest go. You could have your car completely totalled through absolutely zero fault of your own. Does that mean you shouldn't but it it drive it?

It'd be nice if not everyone assumed OEM was the only way to go for these

Fair enough...good looking out. After picking up the car, I soon found some less expensive steel replacements, but then stopped looking for other ceramics to deal with all the other repair issues that came up. But at the end of the day, I'd rather have the smaller rotors to be able to run smaller wheels.
