They did give me a commission number on my "Build Sheet - Retail" based on a 6 speed, but said it will change when the order can become a PDK, if that makes sense? They noted on the dealer build sheet to be a PDK. I've been working with this Porsche dealer and salesperson for several years. I have trust in them. The order also says selling price at MSRP.

I am looking at the sheet the salesperson gave me when we did the "Build Sheet - Retail". It has a "Comm. No." shown on it. The salesman actually high-lighted it. What he did say, was that that number will change when my actual car with PDK is ordered. I stopped by Saturday and spoke with the General Sales Manager. I asked him how many, if any allocations they presently had for 6 speeds. He said "ONE". And that he was expecting additional allocations in the foreseeable future. I also see on the Build Sheet a spot where it says: "Vehicle Status: V070 - Order demand released for order", whatever that means? I have to wonder if they are logging my order as a 6 speed to get an allocation for a 6 speed, even though my order will be eventually placed as a PDK when they become available? I have no idea...??

I'm in a similar situation in Canada. Dealer told me he put me in the "ordering system" with my quasi-final build sheet so my name is down there and my spot is "secured".
GT4 w/ PDK.
He said he would move me to the PDK ordering slots once they become available. He said not to worry about having a car since they got confirmation they would not have problems getting these cars in. Kinda confirms the higher production of the 982 vs 981.
He said Canadian dealers didn't get infos regarding the PDK yet, but I'm expecting the car early 2021. My goal has always been April-May 2021.
First Porsche here tho so I'm somewhat of a newb.
I don't have an order sheet tho, only my CA's word. He said he would update me as soon as infos come in.
Cheers!

The key is to be able to trust the dealer with their word. Hopefully they will be right with you. I actually have a "Build Sheet-Retail" document from the dealer they gave me. They took a $1,000 deposit from me to reserve my order, which I was fine with. I also expect my PDK Spyder in the spring of 2021. Anywhere in the May/June/July timeframe is good for me. I have a BMW lease that ends early July 2021, so somewhere prior to that would be perfect. I've worked with this dealer in the past, so I trust them to be straight-forward with me. They know I belong to the local Porsche Club, and am active with that group. Something you would want to consider when you get your new Porsche.

Being a noob to ordering a new Porsche, I'll be relying on this link to help me track it my when the time comes. https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...ing-guide.html

Just ordered a GT Silver Metallic Spyder on Saturday, here in SW Florida (Naples Porsche). Waiting for PDK. Debated back and forth on 6 speed versus PDK, but in the end, decided to go with PDK. That delays receiving the car until late 2020 or early 2021, which I'm (somewhat) fine with. Also considering Euro delivery. Moderately optioned car - $114,770 + PDK. This will be a keeper so did not want to scrimp on options. Adaptive Sports Seats. Carbon interior. +++ It will be a long 18-20 months. Could have had a 6 speed by April/May timeframe (estimate). No ADM. MSRP.
