Just ordered a GT Silver Metallic Spyder on Saturday, here in SW Florida (Naples Porsche). Waiting for PDK. Debated back and forth on 6 speed versus PDK, but in the end, decided to go with PDK. That delays receiving the car until late 2020 or early 2021, which I'm (somewhat) fine with. Also considering Euro delivery. Moderately optioned car - $114,770 + PDK. This will be a keeper so did not want to scrimp on options. Adaptive Sports Seats. Carbon interior. +++ It will be a long 18-20 months. Could have had a 6 speed by April/May timeframe (estimate). No ADM. MSRP.

PDK is a given sometime next year but haven't heard of anyone been able to order or have definitive dates for GT4/Spyder w/ PDK.

Sounds like you made a request and dealer agreed to give you an allocation in the future. That’s awesome! However from my understanding at this time no Spyder allocations have actually been released. Hope that changes soon because I want to know when mine will built!

I was at Porsche Parade in Boca Raton 10 days ago. I spoke with a couple people from Porsche on dates. Of course they give a disclaimer that those are anticipated dates, not cast in stone as of right now. "Spring" for 6 speed, late 2020 for PDK. They said dealers should be seeing allocations "in the foreseeable future" for the 6 speed. I would have been #2 on the dealers list for a 6 speed. I am farther down a list for a PDK. Not exactly sure what number right now. I would be fine with getting my car mid-2021, as the lease on my BMW will be done in July 2021. I do not need three cars.

disden, yes, they put me on their list with a deposit. As I said above, my goal is to get delivery of my Spyder June/July 2021. The dealer actually said they thought it could/would be earlier than that.

Did you get an allocation and commission number? If not, you really didn't order anything unless you signed a buyers order and got a commission number which also requires an allocation.

They did give me a commission number on my "Build Sheet - Retail" based on a 6 speed, but said it will change when the order can become a PDK, if that makes sense? They noted on the dealer build sheet to be a PDK. I've been working with this Porsche dealer and salesperson for several years. I have trust in them. The order also says selling price at MSRP.

I also was able to go to the local DMV and secure a personalized plate (which will go on my current car until delivery of the Spyder to make sure I got it). Plate says: SPYDR (Spyder was taken). I had some other ideas but liked that best.

Do agree the thread isn't clear. Dealers also confuse some customers asking for orders and full deposits as if you have an actual allocation. But don't tell you that they don't have allocations. Not all but some.
Bottom line is you have a commission number if you received an allocation and placed the order.
