The only delay I am worry about is CARB certification. In 2017 my Macan Turbo PP sat at the RI port from late July to mid October due to CARB Certification delay. Now COVID + usual CARB delays will make it much more annoying.

That was due more likely to retribution from CARB for the whole VW Diesel scandal. They did the same thing with 991.2 Turbo S. Even the EPA is still pissed about it - the low full charge range of the Taycan is a victim of that - EPA changed the calculation method they use for EVs so the range would come in much lower than Tesla.

That is what I heard might be the reason for 2021 PDK models being delivered "early 2021."

Finally got my allocation today. Looks like Nov/Dec build for a Jan-ish delivery. Not ideal but winter has been fairly mild these past few years I guess. Python Green here I come.

Just got offered 2x GT4's at MSRP from my good friend, John Schaefer @ Champion Porsche. Both cars are Gentian Blue, one with LWB the other 18 ways. I have a Spyder coming in 2 weeks but told John I would post the cars. John is a really great Porsche guy, hit him up if you're interested - john@champion-porsche.com

Old question, how have the production been on these? They making a lot more of these than first gen? I see a ton of these up for new on cars.com. Do we think the next gen gt3 will have similar high productions.

I dont think you can usefully extrapolate anything about GT3 production from 718 GT4/Spyder production...

Picked mine up 1 week ago. LOVE IT. Too much fuss by YouTube reviewers on ratios and noise. But I digress.

SA told me they got another GT4 allocation, however it’s been built already and he didn’t have specs. Call Tony Taylor at Loeber in Lincolnwood Illinois if interested.

PM me if you want his cell.

Default Search for Miami Blue GT4

Am just starting my hunt for a GT4 allocation here in SoCal. I’m dead set on Miami Blue (if still available!) Do you think my deposit will be refunded if it turns out this color is no longer available?

Pretty sure it's law in California that deposits must be refundable.
Even if that weren't true, most deposits only become "non-refundable" when the build locks or you go V200. At which point you'll also know your MB selection is still available (they won't accept the build if they can't build it).

Aside from that, I'd highly recommend shopping outside of SoCal for an allocation. You're going to avoid tons of ADM (which runs rampant in SoCal) and lots of extra demand. Almost all dealerships in the US right now are ready and available to ship nationwide and you can probably get an allocation much sooner.
