I passed on a GT4 allocation from my dealer in Aug, waiting for the PDK version and/or the GT4RS.

 

First post and first GT4 allocation for Ottawa, Canada. Lock date in 30 days expected delivery Jan, 30. Anybody got some snow tires I can borrow?

 

Looks like there is a Spyer for sale at Porsche Dortmund in Germany if any of you (euro) guys want to snag.

We're kinda' spoiled in the US, that's a $147.7k Spyder that jayson linked above. (I'm going to hate it when we lose that reserve currency status.)

I’d suspect at some point Porsche will need to put a manufacturing facility in North America. For the high volume cars at least. Maybe that would help contain costs.

 

Just got V200 from dealer today. He's asking for a second deposit.

Is this customary? I've already put 5 large down for the first deposit.

 

Yea no.... It's all at the dealer's discretion though.
I'd firmly remind him you already are $5000 in the hole - if he's persistent then it's up to you.

 

My dealer does it......it's $5K to reserve your position and 10% (minus the first $5K) of the total once it locks.

 

Same boat as you.....they were calling me to go and submit my configuration but passed and asked to be bumped. Waiting for the PDK, not so sure yet on the RS.

 

+1 for PDK or RS. Passed on the current allocations.

My dealer is $5k down when you submit the order and then nothing else until it arrives.

 

Who's your dealer? That doesn't sound right

 

Have any northeast dealers in tri state area get Allocations yet ?

 

Just spoke to mine here in NJ and nope - nothing yet.
