I am seeing available allocations pop up all over. It wouldn't surprise me if the 718 GT4 production numbers take a hit.

TBH it is going to be difficult putting money into this vs. the index once things balance out.

Fingers crossed that Porsche will offer a credit toward options or something to keep me interested. :\

If you are saying that you want to wait for another year then I don't see that you have any other choice but to cancel, allocations are for build dates about to happen, they are a spot on the 'current' assembly line.

Curious, why cancel?

Not sure what you are getting at, a reduction because of the world situation?

Less income due to COVID-19, same expenses, and I'm also thinking like jayson - invest the GT4 dough in the market once the tide comes up! But I'm still juggling with all options... next 2 weeks will be quite telling of how things will turn out. Funny because while I'm writing these lines I just got the proof for my personalized door sill - maybe god (or Robin Williams!) is sending me a message!

Working the market is an option as long as you are willing to wait, do they take 6 months to rebound, two years...?

I suppose if you are willing to wait this might make financial sense, but maybe the GT market fades because of all of this and Porsche ends production early?

Bird in the hand... yep bird in the hand for me!

Selfishly, I hope there are a lot less orders so they produce fewer units overall

I am concerned with delays in getting the car though if the factory shuts down or if ports close.

Thought about the bounce briefly. But no. The rebound will probably take a while too make it meaningful. I’d rather get something now that wait a few years. But that’s just my opinion.

This could be a real concern, goods have not been prevented from coming into US/Canada so far only people, but if the factory or port closes...

Yup I’m from BC. Very concerned with what happens over the next few weeks on logistics as my car is scheduled to arrive in May.

Mine is supposed to begin its build this week, timing is what it is all about now... I hope it gets to port real soon after it completes and onto a boat soon!

I think it’s a matter of time (days-maybe a week) before either or both production stops/shipments are held at port. Ferrari and PSA have stopped production and Germany is getting a hit with increase in case load. Time will tell! I sure hope I’m wrong!

Isn't Ferrari production in Italy? It isn't anything we can control, at this point we are spectators for what happens in Germany.

From my perspective, we're participants in what is happening throughout the word. Much as I love Porsche, there are much bigger challenges than the delivery time of a GT4 and/or 4.0 GTS.

Be well, stay safe, don't let anyone cough on you.
