It is a pretty old tech car - it is wonderful and all, but even the base models get near 6 figures and, well, the MotorTrend M2 vs. 718 article kind of says a lot.

I really like my 718 (ok, I have not gotten to drive it much), but dollar for dollar, it is really expensive for what you get.

and yes, I'll say it, I think the electric one is going to be amazing.
I have the previous version, M2 Competition, which I love, but I don't love it as much as the 718 CGTS 4.0.
