Judging by how easy I've found to get allocations in a car market rapidly returning to normal vs. the 2-3 years span of covid insanity - why would anyone pay above MSRP or a broker fee? I understand maybe for a limited RS model but at least for the GTS I found inbound unallocated 24s dealers (even out of state) would sell me at MSRP as well as 3 allocations for 2025s at MSRP.

This has been the case for a GTS since launch. Anyone who put in a modicum of effort got MSRP.

Some markets still try for above on almost anything, but just shop around.

Why enlist a broker; well you don't have the time or inclination to do it yourself. Ever use a concierge? Same thing.

You don't typically pay a broker fee, the dealer does (especially if you're getting the car at a "known" price, like MSRP).

No clue why anyone would pay a $2,500 broker fee when a few calls can secure the car at MSRP.

Interesting as I've seen posts on FB and forms where broker notes there is ADM + Broker fees.

The market is always changing, just a few months ago, calls to about 30 dealerships yielded me no results.

The only allocation that I could find for a CGTS was through a broker for $7500ADM and a broker fee on top.

I declined, but someone might have been desperate enough.

Agree that market is changing. I had been calling out back in Feb/March and everyone was above MSRP. One dealer local to me only sells at MSRP and I had been on my their list for over a year at that point. They said I was still at #2 on the list and with not knowing if production would end, they weren't sure I'd get one. So I called at least 30 dealers and it was either that they didn't sell out of region or that there was min $10k ADM. A few days later my local dealer let me know they got an allocation and #1 on the list passed it up so it was mine.

My story is nearly the same except that I was #4 at my local dealer and 3 people passed on it

I'm currently #4 on my dealers list for a Spyder RS so I'm hoping at least 2 pass on their spot as not sure if they'll get even 2 before end of Production.

Hard to imagine anyone passing on one of those at MSRP
