Best Fuel
Entirely probable that this no longer has any bearing, but back in the day I had a C5 and it would intermittently throw a CEL on anything other than Shell or Chevron, if your question is what brand. So I still stick with those whenever possible.

Use what your country specific owners manual recommends combined with whatever is deemed “top tier” where you are. Typically this is a high octane premium fuel.
The are a variety of fuel/octane rating numbers depending on RON, MON, AKI, etc that are country/region specific.

Shell 93 has been consistently tested and shown to be marginally better/best - testing through dyno shows Shell 93 generates more power than other fuel brands

All the Sunoco stations around me are Top Tier. I think they may even have 94 octane at most of them!
But one thing that Top Tier doesn't assess is the condition of the tanks and pumps. That's the reason that I've stopped getting gas at any of the local Sunoco stations. All of them are in various states of disrepair. One has an obvious pump problem or clog, as it takes 5x longer to fill even a 1-gallon fuel jug -- the fuel just trickles out compared to normal. This is my closest station, so I check back every 4-6 months and it's been like this for well over a year (probably 2 years now).
Imho, there's no point in getting Top Tier-grade gas if it results in a clogged fuel filter. So, now I have to drive to an Exxon station that's newer but 15 minutes in the opposite direction from where I normally drive. The Porsche is the only car that gets this special treatment. The rest of the fleet gets filled at Wawa, where they presumably have some corporate standards to keep the pumps and tanks in reasonable shape. Or my personal favorite, Costco - but the closest one is over 30 minutes away so I only fill up there when I'm shopping there.

It's a DI turbo car...more ethanol the better. Cooler burn, oxygenated, higher octane. With a tune DI will gain a solid 10%+ on E85, DI+FI is looking at 25-30% gain. Without tune it's still better.
This isnt some old carb sohc engine.

How about the NA 4.0 engines then?
