I went with the SmartTop controller and purchasing through Pelican parts with the PCA discount. I had installed it myself on my '14. Haven't yet installed on my BGTS but hope to do so labor day weekend if weather cooperates as my garage is a bit tight on working space right now.

Curious, why not ventilated seats? I really like mine on a sunny day with the top down. Are you doing PPF on the whole car? The side intakes are the area I missed.

thread on PIWIS 3 Coding Retrofit and Feature Request, and ask 718socal to help you out.
I didn't love the idea of the Smart Top controller choice due to splicing wiring under the driver's seat to install it. So the PIWIS coding change which makes the car like its ROW counterparts was the way to go for me, and many others.
I had that tweak done along with having the temperature gauge to read out accurate temps, and coding the entry and drive sensors I retrofitted to my 2022 BGTS (which were omitted at the factory due to parts shortages). Enjoy your new car--exciting day, I'm sure.

I'm glad to hear you say that. I still hope to try the 2-way seats in person before finalizing my build but I like their weight savings; the cost factor is just a bonus. As the only driver, memory features are inconsequential so it all comes down to fit and comfort. Happy they worked out for you

Don't know if anyone answered your question (didn't read past this post yet) but go over to the 718 GTS 4.0/GT4/GT4RS/Spyder/25th Anniversary forum to the

Coding is independent of the PCM version. You just cannot add NAV to your car yet. Find someone local with PIWIS and code your keyfob to open/close the top.

Edit: Whoops, saw that 718socal responded too. BTW he remote coded mine, and I'm in TX, he's in CA.

Also, the SmartTop was really not much at all to install in my 981. Had it for over 10 years before selling it a few months back and no issues at all.
