ONSABRUCK BUILD STATUS?
I posted over in the General Discussion and I probably should have done it here since the question is relative to 2024 718 production. I noticed my build/delivery map now reads Onsabruck instead of Zuffenhausen, even though the paragraph on build, shipping and delivery still states the Cayman and Boxsters are built in the Stuttgart suburb. Since my map showing build is now changed to show Onsabruck I am assuming my Cayman GTS will be built there. Has anyone else seen this change on their 718 order? Originally my car showed Zuffenhausen and with recent posted news ( June 24th ) that due to high demand the Cayman and Boxster would add to production at the plant in Northern Germany. My build was said to start on 6/22, so not sure if it was a super early Onsabruck build or if it already started down South? Anyone else noticed a change or has any info on this recent Porsche production change?

Osnabruke has been building 718 Caymans, including GT4s, for years, so you shouldn't worry.
You can check for a "K" in the VIN instead of an "S"
Last year PAG announced an investment in Osnabrucke to increase 718 production there starting this summer and I believe to include Boxsters. Previously only Caymans came down the K line.

I had a bit of a hard time understanding this out as well until I found the wiki page below that confirmed and added more details on what Shaggy said.

Well Mad Max , my Osnabruck Caymanwagen also has an expected Delivery date the end of September, so they may be bunkmates on the ship coming over the pond?

Anyone who has a Boxster/Cayman being built in Osnabruck might check their status or be looking for new Porsche emails as I went from a late Sept. date that had changed twice by a few days, to getting a note on Thursday saying my car was done and was scheduled for shipping to port on the 19th of July. The interesting note from them is that my estimated delivery date is now August 24. Wondering if any other folks with Osnabruck builds have seen a dramatic turn of events like this?
The notes from Porsche , are still the generic versions telling me the car is built to the highest standards in Zuffenhausen , but my " K " designation tells me for certain the Chalk Cayman is being done up North is Das VW Kar Machen Playzzz!

What Port is your Cayman going to, since that could be a big determiner? My CGTS is headed for Houston , which with the lovely Hurricane Season just getting started I would sure have preferred it land somewhere on the Northern East Coast. Seems like that would be just a quick to get cars to the Midwest, as it has to take 3-4 more days to get around Florida and up to dock in Houston.
