4 spots on roof
I purchased this car sight unseen and the dealer failed to disclose these 4 spots on the roof (surprise!) The attached picture shows 2 of the spots just forward of the most forward support on the driver side, there are 2 more identical spots on the passenger side. The spots are too uniform and too evenly spaced to be random, this was definitely caused by some sort of intentional human input. So for the cause, was this because the previous owner stored something on top of the roof or perhaps did he store the car ('22 Spyder) with the roof down? 2nd, I'm about to try and clean it. I've watched a few YouTube videos on caring for our roof but I'd like to get any inputs here on someone who might have had a similar set of spots on their own roof before I do something stupid and irreversible.
Thanks
Thanks

They are on every Spyder.
There are 4 round “pucks” on the underside of the rear hatch to compress and hold the top when stowed.
You can diminish them when you detail the top by using a horse hair brush, but they never go away and over time come back to what they originally looked like.

Those are much more apparent than on my car, which is hardly noticeable, so you should be able to make it look a lot better.

They are 100% normal and not a defect. The "intentional human input" is putting the roof down.
Do nothing for a few days and they will go away if it was stored for awhile. It's more noticeable in cold weather for some reason.
And I would recommend you switch to decaf.

I bought the chemical guys cleaner and horsehair brush, that didn’t seem to do much of anything either. Nobody but me sees it since if I need the top up then I don’t drive it anyway, so this adds to my personal list of OCD stuff I’ll have to learn to ignore.

It won't clean because there is nothing TO clean. It's a physical impression from the cover onto the fabric.
Park it out side in the sun for a couple of days. It will be fine.

Some have had luck by agitating the fabric where the spots are either with a brush or a rubber rod. It is caused by fabric crush from the pads holding the roof in the down position when stowed as mentioned above.

Horsehair brush and protectant (I use 303 brand).
Porsche recommends that the roof not be cleaned every car wash and only with clean water when it is.
There are clear recommendations in the manual.
